Is This Trip Right for You?

This moderately active program covers a fair amount of ground each day and gives you the opportunity to search for and perhaps view the Northern Lights. The included Northern lights tours often extend late into the evening and exact schedules depend on local weather conditions. Sightings cannot be guaranteed. Expect up to four hours walking every touring day. The pace is moderate, however you will encounter some uneven surfaces, stairs, and steps. The altitude in the National Park varies and may be a consideration for those who have heart conditions, or are otherwise affected by height. Keep in mind that winter in Alaska means snow, ice, and cold temperatures. Some venues are outdoors, so uneven and icy surfaces may be underfoot, therefore proper winter clothing and footwear are essential for your safety and comfort. This is an Express program.
