Is This Trip Right for You?

This active program covers a fair amount of ground each day. Expect from two to three hours walking on some touring days. The pace is fast, however you will encounter some uneven surfaces, steps and slopes. The altitude in the National Parks varies and may be a consideration for those who have heart conditions or are otherwise affected by height. Hotels in National Parks provide limited amenities.

DAY 1, Sunday - Depart for Canada
Arrive in Vancouver, a bustling seaport in British Columbia, one of Canada’s most densely populated and most diverse cities. Surrounded by mountains, Vancouver offers outstanding sites of the natural world while offering the modern features of a world-class city. Time to settle in before tonight’s briefing by your Tour Manager on the exciting adventure that awaits you, followed by a Welcome Drink with your fellow travelers. DAY 2, Monday - City Tour of Vancouver, Depart Vancouver for Victoria
Begin the day with a city tour highlighted by English Bay, a favorite recreational area, and Gastown, the city's oldest neighborhood, designated a National Historical Site in 2009. Afterwards, on to Stanley Park, home of the famous aquarium and Canada Place with its iconic five white sails. On Granville Island, enjoy the buzzing artists' quarter, waterside restaurants, top galleries, and a huge fresh food market. A perfect place for leisure time and lunch on your own! Travel by ferry to Vancouver Island and onwards by coach to Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia. This morning, go to the world-famous Butchart Gardens. Here, you'll see one of the world's greatest floral displays in the amazing 55 magnificent acres of flowers and show gardens, including the Japanese, Italian and Rose gardens. Enjoy lunch at leisure before you visit the Legislative Building overlooking the majestic Inner Harbor; this guided tour reveals the city's fascinating history. Continue on a City Tour of Victoria, starting at Beacon Hill Park. Continue to the carved totem poles at Thunderbird Park adjacent to the Royal BC Museum, and Canada's oldest Chinatown.
