Is This Trip Right for You?

This active program covers a good amount of ground each day. Expect from two to three hours walking on some touring days. The pace is moderate, however you will encounter some uneven surfaces, stairs, steps. A few early wake-ups, some between 6 and 7 am. Expect the longest time spent on the bus to be the drive of 2 hours to and from Abu Dhabi. Weather is very pleasant during the day from October through April but sometimes it becomes a little cold and windy in the evening. The optional tour of Desert Safari involves a rough drive over the dunes and low seating in the camp. It is not recommended for pregnant women, people with back problems or heart conditions.

DAY 2, Thursday - Arrive in Dubai
Arrive in Dubai, the quintessential land of opulence, wealth and astonishing skyscrapers and transfer to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to rest, relax and acclimate to your new time zone

DAY 3, Friday - Dubai City Tour
A fabulous day discovering one of the world's most futuristic cities with its dramatic skyline, once a tranquil port of Bedouin traders and pearl divers. Begin at Dubai Creek, cutting through the heart of the city and winding its way from the trading port of the Gulf to the Ras al Khor bird sanctuary on the desert edge of the city. Drive via the Jumeirah Mosque with its unique architecture and the Dubai Marina with amazing views of man-made Palm Island, the artificial archipelago in the Persian Gulf.  Continue past Dubai's signature landmark, Burj Al-Arab, the celebrated sail-shaped hotel. Then, ascend to the very top of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world; view the unequaled panoramic vistas. At the iconic Atlantis the Palm Hotel, you'll be surrounded by the astonishing aquarium inhabited by thousands of marine species from around the world. On to the Dubai Museum, housed in the Al Fahidi Fort, the Dubai World Trade Center, and the bustling alleys of traditional spice and gold souks. DAY 4, Saturday - Full Day in Dubai
Take a leisurely stroll along Dubai's vast coastline this morning or head to the colossal Dubai Mall for shopping or, join the thrilling optional Desert Safari this afternoon. Board a 4X4 vehicle in Dubai and head out towards the highest sand dunes of the surreal surrounding desert. Feel the thrill of "dune bashing" as you spiral up and down the enormous golden dunes. Stop to watch the beautiful sunset before reaching the Bedouin campsite. You'll be welcomed with traditional Arabic coffee and might have the opportunity to ride a camel. Then, enjoy a specially prepared barbecue dinner, prepared on an open fire. Later, a captivating belly dancer enchants you with her swirling dances under the starlit sky before returning to Dubai

DAY 5, Sunday - Al Ain Tour
Today, travel to Al Ain, the Garden City of the UAE and one of the oldest settlements. A green city with an incredible number of public parks, it is also the birthplace of H.H. Sheikh Zayed, the Former President of the UAE. Visit Sheikh Zayed Palace Museum, the residence of Sheikh Zayed and his family between 1937 and 1966. The tour also includes visits to the most important museum in the UAE, Al Ain National Museum which houses artifacts of ancient times that have been discovered in and around the city, ancient Arabic manuscripts and royal treasures. See a traditional camel market and go to the Hili Archaeological Gardens, the excavation site of a Bronze Age settlement that dates to back 3000 B.C. Return to Dubai in the evening

DAY 6, Monday - Full Day in Dubai
Enjoy the morning at leisure or, join an optional tour to Sharjah, cultural center of the Emirates, known for its major museums, distinctive landmarks and elegant mosques. Visit the Islamic Museum, housing over 5,000 artifacts from all over the Islamic World and the Heritage Museum depicting Sharjah's rich and diverse heritage. In the afternoon depart for Abu Dhabi and arrive in time for a Farewell Dinner with your fellow travelers

DAY 7, Tuesday - Abu Dhabi Tour
Start off the day with a city tour of the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, also known as the Arabian Jewel. Drive past Jebel Ali, the largest man-made port in the world before arriving at the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, iconic symbol of Abu Dhabi. Continue along the city's glamorous Corniche, with blue waters glittering on one side and shimmering skyscrapers lining the other. At the Breakwater, pause to take photos of the city's fabulous skyline. Then, on to Heritage Village, a reconstructed traditional "oasis". Here, journey to the past and experience life in Abu Dhabi before oil revenues altered the landscape. Many different aspects of desert life are attractively displayed in the open-air museum along with workshops where craftsmen demonstrate traditional skills while women sit weaving and spinning Afterwards, stop at the Zayed House for a fascinating sneak peek into the life of the late Sheikh Zayed, 'Father of the Nation'. Have lunch on your own and consider taking the optional tour of the Falcon Hospital this afternoon to get a deep insight in the tradition of falconry. Enjoy your final night in Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates at leisure to explore the city or take a seaside stroll along the beautiful Corniche

Optional Tours

This half-day tour takes you to Sharjah, the "Pearl of the Gulf." Visit the Islamic Museum which houses more than 5000 artifacts from all over the Islamic World. Continue to the Heritage Museum where you will discover Sharjah's rich and diverse heritage and explore traditions that have endured the test of time. A visit to Sharjah is not complete without a stroll in the souks, where you can bargain for jewelry, handicrafts, and carpets, among other specialty items. Visit the Souk Al Arsah, the oldest in the country, and Souk Al Markazi, the largest souk in Sharjah with over 600 shops where you can bargain to your heart’s content.

Departs at 9:00 am. Pick-up and drop-off at the hotel. Approximate tour duration is 4 hours.

Half Day Sharjah Tour Thumbnail

A special visit to the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital. Here, we will get a deep insight in the tradition of falconry with a display of special tools and equipment. The tour will also include a display of the registration and the unique passports of the falcons, a visit to the examination room where you will see the precious falcons undergoing feather repair, or manicure and pedicure, you will experience a real life work surrounded by a variety of different falcons. Afterwards, you will visit the large aviary where falcons are kept and fly free inside and then the highlight is the opportunity to take photos with the majestic falcons sitting on your arm in our beautiful hospital garden.
