Is This Trip Right for You?

This active program covers a fair amount of ground each day. In Dubai, expect a few early wake-up calls, between 6 and 7 am and walking for two to three hours on some touring days. The pace is moderate, however you will encounter some uneven surfaces, stairs and steps. The longest time spent on the bus is the 2 hour drive to and from Abu Dhabi. Weather is very pleasant during the day from October through April but sometimes it becomes a little cold and windy in the evening. The optional tour of Desert Safari involves a rough drive over the dunes and low seating in the camp. It is not recommended for pregnant women, people with back problems or heart conditions. In Jordan, the program is minimally active and done at an easy pace. Most sightseeing involves approximately one hour walking; however, Petra requires a full day of walking on various surfaces. Time spent on buses between destinations ranges from 1 to 4 hours at a time. Sightseeing in Wadi Rum is done by 4x4 vehicle.
