We can spend two to three hours on our feet during tours where you will encounter some uneven surfaces, stairs, steps and significant slopes. DAY 1, Saturday - Depart for England

DAY 2, Sunday - Arrive in London
Arrive in cosmopolitan London and transfer to your hotel. Most flights arrive in the early morning and your room may not be ready for you. In this case, leave your luggage with the concierge and your Tour Manager will provide suggestions for you to begin to explore the city on your own. Tonight, there will be an orientation meeting at approximately 6 pm with your Tour Manager on the upcoming journey that awaits you in England, We recommend that you select flights which arrive in your destination no later than 4 pm or earlier, if possible

DAY 3, Monday - London City Tour
Today, discover the history, pageantry and sights of the city with a half day tour of London's West End. Begin with a drive through fashionable Kensington with its elegant squares and parks. Pass Harrods department store and proceed to view Piccadilly and Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. Continue to view Buckingham Palace, the London residence of Her Majesty the Queen. Your tour ends in the heart of the city. Afternoon is at leisure to explore on your own. Perhaps join the in-depth optional tour of St. Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London

DAY 4, Tuesday - Full Day Highclere Castle & Oxford Tour
This morning, you head to Highclere Castle where you will have access to the beautiful interior, made famous by the television show Downton Abbey. You will have free time to explore the castle on your own. While inside the Castle you will have the opportunity to see the rooms used during filming. Guides will be available in each room to talk about the history of the Castle and perhaps reveal some behind-the-scenes stories. Included in your visit is the Egyptian Exhibition which covers the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun by the 5th Earl of Carnarvon and Howard Carter in 1922. The cellars have replicas of the tomb as well as some other antiquities. After your visit to the Castle, you are free to explore the magnificent gardens and maybe stop for tea in one of the tearooms. Depart Highclere Castle to begin the drive to Oxford through the English countryside. Arrive in Oxford where your guide will take you on tour through this famous university city pointing out sites such as the Sheldonian Theatre that was designed by Sir Christopher Wren, the Bodleian Library, and Christ Church College. After your walking tour, your guide will give you free time to explore. Drop off at the hotel in the early evening

DAY 5, Wednesday - Full Day in London
Enjoy the day at leisure to explore London, the capital of the United Kingdom and one of the world's premier financial, commercial, and cultural cities. Or, choose to join the optional ffull day tour to Stonehenge and Bath. Visit Stonehenge, the most famous prehistoric monument in the world and enjoy a tour of Bath. A beautiful Georgian city with delightful crescents, terraces and architecture. Tonight, gather together for a Farewell Dinner with your Tour Manager and fellow travelers

Optional Tours

Today the focus is on two of the most impressive monuments within London's original "Square Mile". Visit the Tower of London, a former fortress and Royal Palace that has witnessed 1000 years of history most notoriously as a prison. Now the Crown Jewels are kept here and you will have a viewing of these, as well as seeing the iconic Tower Bridge. Continue for a guided visit of St. Paul's Cathedral, where Charles married Diana in 1981. Also, view the exterior architecture of Sir Christopher Wren's Dome, a masterpiece and landmark of London's skyline.

Tower of London & St. Paul's Cathedral Thumbnail

Visit Stonehenge, the most famous prehistoric monument in the world, and now a world heritage site. Its origins date back nearly 5,000 years and it has been home to pagan religion and spiritual worship, not to be mention public debate ever since. Next we head to Bath, a beautiful Georgian city with delightful crescents, terraces and architecture. Following our scenic drive into the heart of the city, enjoy a tour of the Roman Baths. Following the tour, there will be plenty of time to explore at your leisure and eat lunch independently. You could visit Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge, the Jane Austen Centre and the elegant Assembly Rooms built in 1771. You can also shop, explore and take afternoon tea in the Pump Rooms while listening to the live classical music.
