Optional Tours

This Grand Louvre walking tour begins with a stroll through the commercial area outside the Louvre, and continues inside the museum where an experienced guide will present to you various exhibitions. Of the many exhibitions found therein, this tour covers those of the medieval fortress, the modern pyramid, the Egyptian Department, and some of the museum's most reputed masterpieces, including Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa.

Grand Louvre Museum (GL) 9:30 AM Thumbnail

Depart the Cityrama office via the Place de la Concorde and continue along the Champs Elysées as far as the Arc de Triomphe. The tour continues towards the 16th district, considered one of the most prestigious residential areas in Paris, and home to the celebrated Bois de Boulogne. Continue with a visit to the Eiffel Tower and enjoy a panoramic view of France's unforgettable capital. Your guide will point out the principal landmarks of the city from the Tower's second floor observatory. Continue to quai de la Bourdonnais, where you will board a Bateaux Parisiens vessel for a delightful one-hour Seine River cruise. Enjoy commentary detailing the many historic bridges of Paris as you cruise. After the conclusion of the cruise, you may choose to explore the city on your own, or return by bus to the terminal.

Departs from 2 Place des Pyramides, Paris 75001. Drop-off to be advised locally. Approximate tour duration is 4 hours.

*Please note that the visit to the Eiffel Tower may be replaced by a visit to the Montparnasse Tower on certain dates. The Montparnasse Tower offers a panoramic view of Paris and its top attractions and monuments, including a view of the Eiffel Tower. "Depart Paris for the French countryside to discover two of the Loire Valley's most famous châteaux with an official guide. Visit the majestic Château de Chambord*, surrounded by one of the largest forest parks in Europe, and the charming Château de Chenonceau, built across the River Cher. Experience what life was like during the Renaissance period in these stunning properties that once accommodated the courts of the Kings of France. At each château you will be taken on a tour lasting between 45 minutes and 1 hour, followed by free time to discover your own secret corners. You will also have free time for lunch on your own.

Windsor has been occupied by successive monarchs for over 900 years. William the Conqueror through the current Queen have all lived at Windsor. Visit St. George's Chapel and the State Apartments*. Next, arrive at Stonehenge, the mystical stone circle on the vast Salisbury plain. Considered the world's best-known megalithic monument of the Neolithic and Bronze Ages, the site was originally thought to be a place of early Druid worship. Its origins date back nearly 5,000 years, and even today it remains a remarkable and mysterious feat of ancient engineering and design. Your final stop is Bath, another World Heritage Site. Bath is a beautiful Georgian city with delightful crescents, terraces and architecture.
