DAY 2 - Arrive in Istanbul
Arrive in Istanbul, at the crossroads of Europe and Asia and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure to rest, relax and acclimate to the new time zone

DAY 3 - Morning City Tour of Istanbul
Enjoy a morning tour of Istanbul, the only city that straddles two continents. Head to the historical neighborhoods of Fener & Balat. Here, the houses are painted in bright colors, laundry is still hanging across the narrow lanes, kids play in the streets and many different cultures and religions live next to each other. Begin at Kadir Has University in Cibali, an old tobacco factory which houses the Rezan Has Museum. Walk along the coast towards St. Stephen of the Bulgars church, located on the seafront of Balat. Built in the 1800’s, the church is entirely made out of cast iron. Continue to the Ecumenical Orthodox Patriarchy, which has been actively open for service since the 1600s. and the Phanar Greek Orthodox College, locally known as the red school. Conclude the tour at the Grand Bazaar, world-famous shopping center where you can shop for carpets, jewelry, leather and more. In the afternoon, join the optional Dolmabahce Palace & Rahmi Koc Museum tour. Visit magnificent Dolmabahce Palace, the private residence and administration center of the Turkish Ottoman Empire during the 19th century. It boasts an impressive ballroom and ornate Victorian furniture embodying Turkish assimilation of European culture. MMarvel at the world’s largest crystal chandelier, a gift from Queen Victoria. Afterwards, tour Rahmi Koç Museum the only major museum in Turkey dedicated to the history of Transport, Industry and Communications

DAY 4 - Full Day in Istanbul
Spend a day at leisure to further explore this fascinating city, or join the optional full day Istanbul Highlights tour. Our first stop will be St. Sophia, the great Byzantine Basilica built in the 6th century, which remained the largest cathedral in the world for almost a thousand years. It was later converted to a mosque and now serves as a museum. Continue to the Blue Mosque, a 17th century Ottoman Mosque famous for its six minarets and magnificent interior made of blue tiles. View the Hippodrome, the place where chariot races and competitive athletic events took place during the Roman period. In the afternoon, visit Topkapi Palace, the residence of Ottoman Sultans housing the richness of 700 years. Visit the treasury section with the crown jewels and the unique collection of Chinese porcelains and the spectacular Harem section, a private living space of the Sultan's family

DAY 5 - Full Day in Istanbul
Today, explore on your own the city that blurs the line between East and West, with incredible architecture that is rivaled only by its spectacular natural setting. This morning, join the optional Miniaturk, Chora Church & Suleyman the Magnificent Mosque Tour. Visit Chora Church, renown for its beautiful Byzantine art. Continue to Suleyman the Magnificent Mosque and conclude the tour at Miniaturk, one of the largest miniature parks in the world. In the afternoon don't miss the optional Bosphorus Cruise & Spice Market tour. View humble fishing villages and suspension bridges set against the dramatic outline of the Strait as you cruise along the Bosphorus, separating Europe and Asia. Afterwards, explore the Spice Market with its unforgettable aromas. Spend your last night discovering the city's vibrant nightlife

Optional Tours

VVisit magnificent Dolmabahce Palace, the private residence and administration center of the Turkish Ottoman Empire during the 19th century and the place where the founder of Modern Turkey, Ataturk died in 1938. The palace is beautifully situated on the European side overlooking the Bosphorus Strait. It boasts an impressive ballroom and ornate Victorian furniture embodying Turkish assimilation of European culture. Marvel at the world’s largest crystal chandelier hovering over the center hall, a gift from Queen Victoria. Afterwards, tour Rahmi Koç Museum the only major museum in Turkey dedicated to the history of Transport, Industry and Communications. The museum is divided into two parts, a new building on the historic Golden Horn side and a converted Byzantine stone building right opposite. Its collection contains thousands of items most of which are from Mr. Rahmi M. Koç’s private collection. These items include submarines, steam engines and full size ships and aircraft.

The interior features basic designs in ivory and mother of pearl and a subtle use of Iznik tiles. The tour concludes at Miniaturk, one of the largest miniature parks in the world.
