Passengers returning from Athens on Day 11 should select flights that depart no earlier than 12:00 pm.

DAY 2, Wednesday - Arrive in Athens
Arrive in Athens, the classical capital of Greece; transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to discover the ancient wonders of this city known as the cradle of Western Civilization and the birthplace of democracy

DAY 3, Thursday - Athens City Tour
The exploration of Athens begins with a panoramic drive through the city center. View the Panathenian Stadium and the ruins of the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Arch, built to celebrate the arrival of the Roman Emperor Hadrian. Continue on to visit the Acropolis, the ancient architectural masterpiece built during the Golden Age of Athens and the new Acropolis Museum, a striking modern building built at the base of the monument where many of the original statues from the Acropolis are now displayed. The rest of the day is at leisure. Be sure to walk to Constitution Square, where you might catch a glimpse of the colorfully-costumed Evzone guards, outfitted in the traditional Greek style. Tonight, perhaps walk through the lively Plaka area, the oldest section of Athens, a neighborhood of charming restaurants, shops and sidewalk cafes

DAY 4, Friday - Ferry to Mykonos
Today, transfer to the port for your morning ferry to Mykonos with its bright whitewashed houses, picturesque windmills, world-class restaurants and trendy boutiques. Upon arrival, continue to your hotel. Time on your own to enjoy the energetic ambiance. Find a table at a harborside taverna and savor the bustle of Cycladic island life and the gorgeous views
Note: An upgrade to a flight is available to purchase at least 60 days in advance of your trip, and will not be available for purchase locally

DAY 5, Saturday - Full Day in Mykonos
Today is free to relax at one of the many golden sandy beaches, or wander along the narrow streets of the Old Town and Little Venice where houses and cafes have been built directly at water level. From there, admire the views of the famous windmills, where the grain used to be milled for bread flour. Leave time to shop at one of the many unique boutiques, or relax at a terrace bar

DAY 6, Sunday - Full Day in Mykonos
On your leisure day, perhaps set out to explore the island with its history dating back to early Ionian civilization or join the optional tour to the splendid archaeological site of the nearby island of Delos, once the religious center of the Aegean and Cyclades. According to myth, Latonna gave birth here to Apollo, the Greek sun god, and to Artemis, the huntress, and goddess of marriage and fertility. In Delos, view the Sacred Harbor and the regal Sacred Way, flanked by stone lions leading to the temples dedicated to Apollo and Artemis and visit the museum housing some of the impressive archaeological artifacts found on the island

DAY 7, Monday - Full Day in Mykonos, Cruise Embarkation
Enjoy another day of leisure today in the ultra-popular and chic jet-set island of Mykonos with its whitewashed houses, iconic windmills and sophisticated town with trendy cafes and boutiques. Perhaps visit one of the island’s popular bars before your late-afternoon transfer to the ship departing at 11:00 pm for Kusadasi, Turkey

DAY 8, Tuesday - Arrive in Kusadasi (Ephesus), Evening in Patmos
Today, arrive at 7:30 am in Kusadasi, Turkey. This splendid city is renowned for its significant historical and religious sites, including ancient Ephesus, one of the most exquisite cities in antiquity. Tour the magnificent archaeological site of Ephesus, home to the Library of Celsus and Fountain of Trajan. Enjoy free time in Kusadasi before returning to the ship in time for lunch. At 5:45 pm, arrive in Patmos. This small island is steeped with an intense spiritual character, which inspired St. John the Divine to write the Book of Apocalypse. A large monastery in his name dominates the landscape above Chora, the island’s capital, surrounded by strong fortress-like walls. Follow the picturesque narrow lanes in the port of Skála and discover cafés, shops and bakeries selling traditional honey and nut pastries. Time to linger until sailing at 9:30 pm to Rhodes

DAY 9, Wednesday - Full Day in Rhodes
View the magnificent panorama as the ship arrives at 7:00 am in Rhodes, the largest of the Dodecanese Islands. Drive along the coastline to the tiny town of Lindos, with its whitewashed houses nestled on the hillside overlooking the crystal sapphire waters of the bay, where you will enjoy a half day tour of the region. After having lunch back on the ship, tour the Acropolis of Lindos and Temple of Athena before proceeding to the city of Rhodes. See the ruins of ancient Rhodes before enjoying a walking tour of the medieval Old Town. View the Palace of the Knights, continuing down Chevaliers Road, before transferring back to the ship. Set sail this evening at 6:00 pm

DAY 10, Thursday - Arrive in Crete, Evening in Santorini
At 7:00 am, arrive in Crete, largest of the Greek Islands. Crete’s remarkable history is highlighted by the ruins of the great Palace of Knossos, ceremonial and political center of the ancient Minoan civilization and residence of the mythical King Minos. Here, the mountain caves are thought to be the legendary birthplace of Zeus, according to Greek mythology. Free time to explore on your own or join the locals sitting in a café drinking coffee. Return to the ship in time for a leisurely lunch on board. At 4:30 pm, cruise into Santorini's caldera and enjoy the panoramic view of this breathtaking cliff coming out of the Aegean Sea. Stroll through the walkways of Fira, the capitol of Santorini, built on the caldera rim, famous for its white-washed houses with blue shutters. Free time to explore the marble-paved alleys and become acquainted with the characteristic buildings, or partake in the ship’s optional excursion to the world famous village of Oia. Ship sails towards Athens at 9:00 pm

DAY 11, Friday - Depart Greece
Arrive at the pier at 7:00 am, disembark your cruise and transfer to the airport for your departure flight

Optional Tours

Transfer to the port where your ship departs Mykonos for the island of Delos. This small island was once the religious center of the Aegean and Cyclades Islands, and according to myth, the location of the birth of Apollo and Artemis. Upon arrival, join a guided tour that will include such landmarks as the Sacred Harbor, and the regal Sacred Way, flanked by imposing stone lions leading to the temples dedicated to Apollo and Artemis. Continue to explore the ruins on your own, or visit the museum housing the priceless archaeological artifacts found on the island. The ship will return to the port in Mykonos Town.

Pick up time from hotel will be advised locally. This tour will conclude at the port in Mykonos Town and does not include a return transfer to your hotel. Approximate tour duration is 4 hours.

This tour is only available for pre-purchase from May through September. These will be available for purchase locally in April and October if weather permits.
