Additional Information:
Drivers must be between the ages of 25 and 74 years old to rent a vehicle. A valid drivers license issued a minimum of 12 months prior to rental along with an international driving license is required for all renters.

The lead passenger will be the listed as the driver of the vehicle. Additional drivers may be added for an additional cost at the time of vehicle pickup.

Rental pickup is unavailable outside pickup location office hours, make sure your flight arrives during this time and at least 1.5 hours prior to closing time. Please see travel tips for more information.

Entry Requirements:

DAY 2, Wednesday - Arrive in Milan, Drive to Como
Welcome to Italy! Arrive in Milan; pick up your reserved vehicle at the airport's Car Rental Facility and drive to the sparkling town of Como, a lakeside jewel! Remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy your new and glamorous surroundings

DAY 3, Thursday - Drive from Como to Lucerne, Switzerland
Perhaps begin the day in this paradise with a scenic morning cruise on Lake Como to the exquisite village of Bellagio, named the "Pearl" of Lake Como. Nestled amidst cypress groves, its earthy-colored buildings climb up from the lakeside promenade. Be sure to wander along the narrow streets and alleyways lined with craft shops, boutiques and cafés or, visit some of the gorgeous gardens with manicured lawns and fountains at Villa Melzi or Villa Serbelloni. Then, opt to drive to Lucerne, Switzerland via the 10 mile long St. Gotthard Tunnel, linking the Italian speaking part of Switzerland, Ticino and the German side. If you’re feeling adventurous, alternatively take the exhilarating drive over the Gotthard Pass with its spectacular views and hairpin turns! Stunning views await you in Lucerne in the center of the Swiss Alps with its pristine lakeside setting and mountainous panoramas

DAY 4, Friday - Explore Lucerne and Mountain Peaks
Drive to Lucerne and spend a day getting acquainted with the town. Take a boat ride on a splendidly restored steamer that crisscrosses Lake Lucerne, stopping at tiny villages along the way or, walk the cobbled streets of the well-preserved medieval Altstadt (Old Town). Alternatively, visit one of the fantastic surrounding mountain peaks. At Mount Pilatus, you can ascend to the top on the world's steepest cogwheel railway that winds up through lush meadows and sparkling mountain streams to the summit of the mountain at nearly 7,000 feet. From the top, you’ll be enthralled by the splendid panorama of the lakes, countryside and surrounding hills before descending by aerial cableway and returning to Lucerne

DAY 5, Saturday - Lucerne, Travel to Bern
This morning visit Lucerne again. You’ll be inspired at the sentimental Lion Monument, erected in memory of heroic Swiss guards who died during the French Revolution and the 14th century medieval Chapel Bridge, one of the oldest covered wooden bridges in Europe, forming the centerpiece of Lucerne's townscape. Afterwards, consider a drive to stately Bern, Switzerland’s capital, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, a stroll through the Old Town is highlighted by the Bern Muenster Cathedral, with its stunning portal and depiction of the Last Judgment. On the hour, you can witness the parade of painted figures at the famous Clock Tower (Zytglogge) and take photos of the ornate fountains. Be sure to stop for a visit to Bear Park, symbol of the city, before heading back

DAY 6, Sunday - Drive from Lake Lucerne to Interlaken
Just a short drive from Lake Lucerne area is the international resort town of Interlaken, a nature lover’s paradise tucked in the valleys of the Bernese Alps. Here, you can see glittering Lakes Thun and Brienz and the dazzling pearly white mountains of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau looming large in the distance. The scenery here is dramatic and very spectacular! Interlaken, which translates to "between the lakes," has been a popular resort for over a hundred years, as evidenced by its grand old Victorian-style hotels. You can take the funicular railway to the summit of Harder Kulm or, enjoy a trip on the historic 100 year old railway up to Schynige Platte with its famous hiking trails. At the Old Town Square, visit the grand railway station for a glimpse of a quintessential Swiss Alpine façade or, continue on to Grindelwald, a picture-perfect charming example of a Swiss ski resort. Linger here to enjoy some of the town’s fine dining and cafes

DAY 7, Monday - Drive to Milan
Today, choose to spend the morning in Lucerne or begin your drive early to Milan, Italy. En route, perhaps visit the famous Benedictine Abbey of Einsiedeln that lies in the midst of a breathtaking landscape, a stop for pilgrims for over 1000 years. The Mercy Chapel, located in the monastery's church under a dome with frescoes, is where the famous Black Madonna is housed. In the metropolis of Milan, visit the grand Gothic Cathedral, The Duomo that lies in the heart of the city or, get tickets to see Milan's most famous mural, Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper hidden away on a wall of the refectory adjoining the Basilica di Santa Maria delle Grazie. Enjoy the city’s sparkling nightlife, and try the best Italian food in the world at one of Milan’s fine restaurants
