DAY 1, Saturday - Depart for France
Depart for France

DAY 2, Sunday - Arrive in Paris
Arrive in Paris, the "City of Lights" and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to rest, relax and enjoy the endless delights of Paris. Your tour begins at 6:00 PM when you join your Tour Manager for a Welcome Drink and orientation meeting on the wonderful journey that awaits you in France. We recommend that you select flights which arrive at Paris no later than 4:00 PM on Day 2 of the itinerary, or earlier if possible

DAY 3, Monday - Paris City Tour
This morning, take a guided city tour of Paris, including a drive along the Champs Elysées to the Arc de Triomphe. View the Eiffel Tower, Cathedral of Notre Dame, Les Invalides where Napoleon is buried, the Latin Quarter, and the lively Opera district. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure, or join the optional tour to the Louvre Museum. View some of the most famous works of art of all time, highlighted by the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory of Samothrace and the museum's most reputed masterpiece, Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. Tonight, attend the optional Montmartre & Illuminations tour

DAY 4, Tuesday - Versailles, Travel to Beaune
After breakfast, drive to the magnificent Palace of Versailles to witness the grandeur of French classical architecture. Visit the Palace and extravagant State Apartments. View the Royal Chapel, the Hall of Mirrors and the Coronation Room. Stroll through the legendary gardens, designed by Andre Le Notre. After, travel to Burgundy, a gorgeous region with rolling green hills and medieval villages. Arrive in Beaune, capital of the region and center of Burgundy's wine industry. Take a walking tour of the old town to view the famous Hotel-Dieu with its colorful tile roof and Notre Dame Basilica. Continue to your hotel in Beaune where you will enjoy dinner together

DAY 5, Wednesday - Pont du Gard, Avignon
Today, drive through the Rhone vineyard area en route to the Pont du Gard, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is the most impressive 2,000 year old Roman aqueduct in France. Next, continue to the lovely town of Avignon, the papal residence during the 14th century. Take an orientation tour of the historic city center, including views of the famous broken bridge, the lively Place d'Horloge and the Papal Palace, one of the largest and most significant medieval Gothic buildings in Europe. Free time to stroll along the cobbled streets and browse through the shops for local specialties that include olive oil, lavender, sugared fruits, Papalines d'Avignon liqueur chocolates and famous wines of the region. Your evening is free to explore the myriad of restaurants that Avignon has to offer

DAY 6, Thursday - Aix-en-Provence, Nice
After breakfast this morning, travel to the town of Aix-en-Provence, a graceful city, known for its thermal hot spring, art schools and university. Enjoy an orientation tour, followed by free time to explore on your own. Later, depart for Nice in the beautiful French Riviera. Tonight, perhaps join the optional tour of Monte Carlo by Night. Drive along the dazzling Corniche road to the Principality of Monaco. Stop at the world-famous Monte Carlo Casino, one of the Riviera's most frequented landmarks. Monte Carlo is the epitome of wealth and glamour; a prime destination for royalty and some of Hollywood's most famous actors. View the route of the Grand Prix, the luxury boats in the harbor and the Prince’s Palace, atop the famed "Rock". Enjoy the lights of the coastline as you return to Nice

DAY 7, Friday - Tour of Nice, Excursion to St. Paul de Vence, Perfumery Visit
Begin the day with a walking tour of Vieux Nice (Old Town) with its historical architecture, dating back to medieval times. Stroll along the narrow streets, dotted with vibrant squares, colorful markets, Baroque churches, cafes, and restaurants. This afternoon, travel to St. Paul de Vence, a walled town which still retains its medieval character and is a haven for artists - a treasure trove of workshops and galleries. Wander the cobbled streets to the central fountain, and see the burial place of Marc Chagall. Then, visit the famous Fragonard perfume factory in Grasse to learn the perfume-making techniques and discover the magic of different fragrances. This evening, celebrate your last night in France together with a Farewell Dinner

Optional Tours

Enjoy a visit to one of the most famous landmarks in Paris, the Louvre Museum. First stop to marvel at the modern pyramid amid the classical medieval fortress. Then continue on your tour to view some of the most famous art works of all time, highlighted by the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory of Samothrace, and the museum’s most reputed masterpiece, Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. At the end of the tour, you may remain at the Louvre to continue your exploration or to explore the center of Paris independently. Alternatively, you may choose to return to the hotel.

This evening enjoy an exhilarating view from the top of Montmartre, the hill crowned by the white Basilica of Sacre Coeur on the north side of Paris. Admire the whole city at your feet before strolling this delightful artist colony with its village-like atmosphere, cobbled streets, cafes and street artists. Ride up the hill on the funicular and later view the Pigalle district, with its renowned and colorful nightlife. Conclude with a drive around the floodlit monuments of Paris, the City of Light on an illumination tour, seeing the Louvre, Concorde Square, with a drive along the Seine River and its gracious bridges to the Eiffel Tower.
