DAY 2, Friday - Arrive in Munich, Drive to Innsbruck, Austria Arrive in the Bavarian capital of Munich. Pick up your reserved vehicle at the airport's car rental facility and drive to your hotel in Innsbruck, the picturesque captial of Tyrol. After checking into your hotel, enjoy your time at leisure in this scenic alpine setting. Perhaps, take the Patscherkofel cable car that transports you up the mountain. Explore Salzburg's most historic sites including, the Mirabell Palace with its splendid gardens, the Franciscan Abbey, Salzburg Cathedral and the house where Mozart was born. Salzburg is also the film set for The Sound of Music movie. Perhaps visit the film's world-famous locations. On your drive back to your hotel, stop in Wattens, home of the acclaimed Swarovski Crystal Worlds and take a tour of the facility. Afterwards, continue to Brunico the pearl of the Val Pusteria. Walk through this medieval town, that combines brilliant characteristics of the region. Visit Bruneck Castle, surrounded by a massive wall with towers and Rainkirche Church, with its exterior beautifully decorated with Tyrolean coats of arms.
