You begin the day with astounding panoramic views of Tokyo from the Observation Deck of the Tokyo Tower - on a clear day you can see Tokyo Bay, Yokohama and even Mt. Fuji! Then, travel to the serene Meiji Shrine* nestled in a forested area, honoring the first Emperor of modern Japan and his Empress. View the Akasaka Guest House and National Diet Building on the way to the Imperial Palace, former site of Edo Castle, where Samurai warriors lived from the 17th to 19th centuries. Nikko a UNESCO World Heritage Site located at the entrance of the Nikko National Park, has served as a center for Shinto and Buddhist worship for centuries. It is home to several temples and shrines, including the Futarasan Shrine and the Rinnoji Temple. Highlights of this full day excursion includes a visit to the tranquil Tai O Fishing Village, and a steep mountain climb to Po Lin Monastery on the Ngong Ping plateau in Hong Kong.
