DAY 6, Sunday - Santiago City Tour
Enjoy the morning at leisure, perhaps visiting the Parque Forestal, based on the Champs Elysee in Paris, or join the optional tour to a winery. This afternoon, embark on an exciting tour of the city, including a walking tour to Plaza de Armas, the main square, and its cathedral, Ahumada Boulevard, the neoclassical La Moneda Palace. The tour continues with a drive through the main avenues of old Santiago, crossing the bohemian neighborhood of Bellavista and climbing up San Cristóbal Hill for a magnificent panoramic view of the city backed by the Andes Mountains. Continuing on, the tour takes you into modern Santiago, including its chic neighborhoods, shopping and financial centers

    Buenos Aires Dinner & Tango Show

    Tonight enjoy an excellent dinner and tango show in downtown Buenos Aires. This has become a favorite of local residents as well as visitors and is the ideal setting for a delicious dinner and an alluring tango show. The Tango displays complete cultural expression, a plot of myths, values and traditions.

    Half Day Tigre & Delta Boat Ride

    Day #3 01 Jan 2013 - 15 Jun 2014         $85
    Enjoy an optional excursion to Tigre and cruise through the Delta. Drive along the coastal area of Buenos Aires, passing through Av Del Libertador, River Plate Soccer Stadium and the Presidencial House of Olivos, arriving to San Isidro district. Here you will see an imposing Neo-Gothic Cathedral amid the historic center of the city. This Cathedral is surrounded by some colonial and Italian style houses that are accessible by the cobblestone streets of the area. Continue on to Tigre, a lovely neighborhood situated in the delta of Paraná River. Originally a hideout for smugglers using t he myriad to small rivers and isles to evade law enforcement, at the end of the 19th century it became a favorite recreation area for the upper class of Buenos Aires. While sailing along the delta, you will be able to admire the old residences, along with yacht and rowing clubs, that populate the banks.

    Full Day Traditional Gaucho Party

    Day #4 01 Jan 2013 - 10 Jan 2016         $115
    Depart from the hotel towards Cardales to visit a traditional Estancia. An Estancia is the equivalent to a large rural estate such a ranch in the United States and are devoted mainly to agriculture, but are also to cattle and breed horses. Most have a main house and some straw-roofed constructions in which the dining-room and a traditional general store are located. The general store commonly called the 'pulperia' was a social gathering point for gauchos at sunset. Later, you can taste a typical Argentine barbecue (grilled beef, chicken, pork sausages, salads, dessert and coffee) at the dining-room.

    As lunch is finished you will enjoy a folklore show with live music, dancing and a tango demonstration, followed by 'cuadreras' and ring races where gauchos show their skills as riders. For those willing to participate in the traditional activities there are horses and 'sulkies' to go around the ranch.

    Half Day Concha y Toro Winery Tour

    Day #6 01 Jan 2013 - 15 Jun 2014         $74
    Depart Santiago towards the Maipo valley, one of Chile's most important wine producing areas. Founded in 1883, Concha y Toro is today the largest wine exporter in the country. The tour includes a full visit to the extensive landscaped gardens (the inside of the colonial house is not included) of the plantations, some of which were planted by the founder of the vineyard, Don Melchor de Concha y Toro. You will have the opportunity to see both the modern facilities and the old cellars. There is a tasting of different wines during the tour and the cost includes a souvenir glass.

    Full Day Valparaiso & Vina Del Mar

    Day #7 01 Jan 2013 - 15 Jun 2014         $112
    Travel towards the Pacific Coast, through the valley of Curacavi & Casablanca, known for its vineyards. On arrival to the coast, visit the picturesque port of Valparaiso, founded in the XVI century on a total of 43 hills that are reached by narrow, windy streets, staircases and a series of lifts (funiculars) which now constitute a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of the eclectic architecture and urban development. Then the tour continues to Plaza Sotomayor and the pier. Later on, visit Viña del Mar known as the Garden City for its pretty parks and flower-lined streets. There will be time to enjoy lunch independently at a local restaurant. Before returning to Santiago, visit the most important beaches of the area.
