DAY 1, Wednesday - Depart the USA
Depart the USA for Israel. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey

DAY 2, Thursday - Arrive in Tel Aviv, Transfer to Jerusalem
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel where you will meet up with the group starting in Israel. Later this evening, enjoy a welcome briefing with your Israeli tour manager

DAY 3, Friday - Jerusalem Old City Tour
This morning, enjoy a half day tour of Jerusalem's Old City, which is divided into 4 Quarters: Christian, Jewish, Armenian and Muslim. Stroll through the colorful winding alleys of the city. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, and some of the Stations of the Cross en route to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Pass through the local bazaars en route to Mount Zion to visit the Room of the Last Supper and the Tomb of King David. Following your day exploring this ancient city, enjoy dinner at your hotel this evening

DAY 4, Saturday - Full day in Jerusalem
Take a full day to discover Jerusalem independently explore this city with deep roots. As an epicenter for three of the world's major religions, there is much to see and do. From the Damascus Gate to the Dome of the Rock, from the Souq al-Qattanin market to the Temple Mount there is no shortage of spectacular sights. The various neighborhoods of Jerusalem blend traditional and modern cultures to create a city that must be seen, heard, smelled and tasted to be truly experienced

DAY 5, Sunday - Full day in Jerusalem
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Jerusalem to continue your immersion into this ancient city. Later this evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant

DAY 6, Monday - Beit She'an, Capernaum En Route to Tiberias
Depart this morning after a brief visit to Mesaseret, a small suburb of Jerusalem, which is the home to new Ethopian Immigrants. Visit the classrooms and see the work being done to help assimilate these new citizens. Drive north via the Jordan Valley along the Israel and Jordan border to Beit She'an. An impressive archaeological site, Beit She'an is home to the ruins of bathhouses, pagan temples and public theaters, evidence of its multicultural history. From here progress to Yardenit, a popular baptismal site on the Jordan River before a visit to Capernaum on the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee. Previously a fishing village, it has become more known for its two ancient synagogues. Enjoy a stop at a Caprice diamond shop before proceeding to Tiberias. Dinner will be at the hotel this evening

DAY 7, Tuesday - Full day in Tiberias
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Tiberias with diverse activities and sights ranging from a prestigious diamond factory to hot springs, from the Franciscan St. Peter's church to the dignified Al-Amari Mosque to the blue-domed Ashkenazi synagogue. Choose to explore the historic sights, the natural wonders, the modern shops or all three to understand this unique city

DAY 8, Wednesday - Depart Tiberias, Ajloun, Um Qais
Depart Israel to begin the tour of Jordan. Transfer from your hotel in Tiberias and arrive at the Sheik Hussein border. You will be escorted through the border crossing process and then met by your Jordanian Tour Manager. Next depart for Ajloun to tour the 12th century Saracen Castle. This castle was built by one of Saladin's lieutenants in the campaign against the Crusaders. Next, drive to Um Qais, Gedara of the Bible, for a magnificent view of the Sea of Galilee, the Yarmouk River and Golan Heights. Then drive to the hotel in Amman. This evening, enjoy a welcome orientation with your tour manager and traveling companions

DAY 9, Thursday - Jerash, Amman City Tour
Travel north to the vast archaeological site of Jerash, known as the "Pompei Of The East", one of the best preserved Roman provincial towns in the world, uncovered after being hidden in the sand for centuries. Tour the soaring Temples of Artemis and Zeus, the Roman Forum, Hadrian's Arch, the massive theatre and mile-long Street of Columns. Afterwards, discover contrasting Amman - a unique blend of old and new, with a history dating back to the Stone Age. Begin at the ancient Citadel, towering above the city, site of ancient Rabbath-Ammon. Excavations here have revealed numerous Roman, Byzantine and early Islamic remains. The most impressive building, known as al-Qasr ("the Palace"), dates back to the Islamic Umayyad period. See the Temple of Hercules and the Jordan Archaeological Museum, with its extensive collection of antiquities ranging from prehistoric times to the 15th century. After a panoramic tour of the city and its suburbs, continue to the Roman Theater, an impressive relic of ancient Philadelphia, built during the reign of Antonius Pius. Pass through the bustling bazaars (Souks) to the modern part of the city where the American Embassy is housed on our return to the hotel

DAY 10, Friday - Mt Nebo, Madaba
Travel along mountain-fringed King's Highway towards Petra. On the way, visit Mount Nebo, where the Bible says Moses climbed to see the Promised Land, and where he is presumed buried overlooking the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Continue to Madaba; enter the Church of St. George to view the vivid 6th century Byzantine map created of mosaic tiles depicting Jerusalem and the Holy Lands. After an included lunch, travel further to the town of Shobak, perched in a remote landscape. A great photo opportunity awaits you at the impressive Shobak Castle, formerly called Mont Real (the Royal Mountain), a reminder of former Crusader glory, dating back to 1116 AD. Pass through small villages and towns where olives, grapes, figs, and apricots are grown in the fertile fields. Arrive in the town of Petra for overnight

DAY 11, Saturday - Full Day in Petra
An astonishing day exploring Petra! Enter the "rose red" city hand-sculpted from a mountain range by the Nabateans in the 3rd century BC. Begin your walk (or ride) through the "Siq", a winding canyon road. At the end, you’ll gaze in total amazement at Petra’s most extraordinary monument - the towering Treasury building rising over 140 feet. Beyond, discover soaring temples, elaborate royal tombs, a theatre, burial champers and water channels - all remnants of a once great Nabatean culture. Today, Petra is both a Jordanian national treasure and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! There will be time on your own to further explore Petra before returning to the hotel with a stop at Moses Springs

DAY 12, Sunday - Wadi Rum Desert, Travel to Dead Sea
Morning departure to Wadi Rum, a surreal desert terrain of ancient river beds, wind-sculpted mountains, vast desert vistas and pastel colored sands. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, often described as the "Valley of the Moon", served as inspiration (and site of the filming) for T.E. Lawrence’s novel, Lawrence of Arabia. Ride in a 4x4 vehicle to explore the valley, with its looming rock faces that seem to grow directly out of the sand and endless skies. Cross the huge red sand dunes, and the eroded pillars of sandstone rock known as "The Seven Pillars". Then, a fabulous lunch in an authentic Bedouin Tent in the midst of the desert, where you'll be introduced to "Zarb" - a selection of foods cooked in an oven with hot coals beneath the desert floor. Afterwards, we travel to our hotel in the unique Dead Sea area. Here, you can float in the "unsinkable" buoyant, salty waters at the lowest spot on earth. Take time to relax and enjoy the benefits of the mineral-rich therapeutic waters. Later this evening, a farewell dinner with your tour manager and travel companions

    Jerusalem at night shows off her splendor. We begin the evening with dinner at a local restaurant. Next, we drive to Jaffa Gate where you will enjoy a spectacular sound and light show at the Tower of David. The story of Jerusalem will unfold before your eyes, accompanied by original music and virtual reality images. Walking through the Armenian Quarter, we finish our tour at the Western Wall.
