DAY 1, Tuesday - Depart the USA
Depart the USA for Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Your international flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment

DAY 2, Wednesday - Arrive in Dubai
Arrive in Dubai, the quintessential land of opulence, wealth and astonishing skyscrapers that stand alongside ancient mosques. Take the rest of the day to rest, relax and acclimate to the adrenaline-charged tempo of this city and your new time zone

DAY 3, Thursday - Dubai City Tour
A fabulous day discovering one of the world's most futuristic cities with its dramatic skyline, once a tranquil port of Bedouin traders and pearl divers. Begin at Dubai Creek, cutting through the heart of the city and winding its way from the trading port of the Gulf to the Ras al Khor bird sanctuary on the desert edge of the city. Drive via the Jumeirah Mosque with its unique architecture and the Dubai Marina with amazing views of man-made Palm Island, the artificial archipelago in the Persian Gulf. Continue past Dubai's signature landmark, Burj Al-Arab, the celebrated sail-shaped hotel facing the Arabian Gulf. Then, ascend to the very top of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world; view the unequaled panoramic vistas of the entire city, ocean and desert. At the iconic Atlantic the Palm Hotel, you'll be surrounded by the astonishing aquarium inhabited by thousands of marine species from around the world. On to the Dubai Museum, housed in the Al Fahidi Fort, a realistic example of a desert fort, complete with cannons and battlements. End the day at the Dubai World Trade Center, with its lively alleys of gold souks, unlike anything you've ever witnessed. Time on your own before tonight's welcome dinner with your fellow travelers and tour manager

DAY 4, Friday - Full Day in Dubai
Morning and afternoon at leisure for further exploration of this vibrant city. Or, join the thrilling optional Desert Safari this afternoon. Board a 4X4 vehicle in Dubai and head out towards the highest sand dunes of the surreal surrounding desert. Feel the thrill of "dune bashing" as you spiral up and down the enormous golden dunes. Stop to watch the beautiful sunset before reaching the Bedouin Campsite. You'll be welcomed with traditional Arabic coffee and might have the opportunity to ride a camel. Then, enjoy a specially prepared Barbeque Dinner, prepared on an open fire. Later, a captivating belly dancer enchants you with her swirling dances under the starlit sky before returning to Dubai

DAY 5, Saturday - Full Day in Dubai
Take a leisurely stroll along Dubai's vast coastline this morning or head to the colossal Dubai Mall for shopping and perhaps indoor skiing on the vast slopes. Or, participate in the optional tour to Sharjah, cultural center of the Emirates, known for its major museums, distinctive landmarks and elegant mosques. Visit the Islamic Museum, housing over 5000 artifacts from all over the Islamic World and the Heritage Museum depicting Sharjah's rich and diverse heritage. Time to stroll in the unique covered souk and bargain to your heart's content for jewelry, handicrafts, and carpets before returning to Dubai. Tonight, a very special evening as we depart the Dubai Marina aboard a traditional Dhow sailing ship. Cruise along the shoreline of the Persian Gulf with beautiful views of the city's skyline and enjoy a delectable International Buffet Dinner and entertainment on board

DAY 6, Sunday - Abu Dhabi City Tour
Today, an excursion to Abu Dhabi, ultra-sophisticated capital of the United Arab Emirates, often called the "Arabian Jewel". Drive past Jebel Ali, the largest man-made port in the world before arriving at the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, iconic symbol of Abu Dhabi. Continue along the city's glamorous Corniche, with blue waters glittering on one side and shimmering skyscrapers lining the other. At the Breakwater, pause to take photos of the city’s fabulous skyline. Then, on to Heritage Village, a reconstructed traditional "oasis". Here, we journey to the past and experience life in Abu Dhabi before oil revenues altered the landscape. Many different aspects of desert life are attractively displayed in the open-air museum along with workshops where craftsmen demonstrate traditional skills while women sit weaving and spinning. After lunch on your own, visit Zayed House for a fascinating peek into the life of the late Sheikh Zayed, "Father of the Nation". Return to Dubai via Yas Island, where the Ferrari World theme park and brand-new Formula I race track is located

DAY 7, Monday - Dubai
Full day at leisure in Dubai to explore this amazing city on your own. Visit a desert center to see the art of "falconry", spend more time shopping in the spice and gold bazaar, or just gaze at the astonishing panoramic views from a rooftop restaurant. There is so much to do in Dubai!

DAY 8, Tuesday - Depart Dubai, Arrive in Amman
Depart Dubai on a flight to Amman, capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day at leisure to adjust to the exotic surroundings

DAY 9, Wednesday - Ajloun, Um Qais
Travel this morning from the modern city of Amman to the towering 12th century Ayyubid castle at Ajloun, nestled among sprawling pine forests. This magnificent mountaintop castle, built by one of Saladin’s generals in 1184 AD, helped to defeat the Crusaders eight centuries ago by dominating the routes leading to the Jordan Valley. Next, to the northwest corner of the country to see the ruins of the ancient town of Gadara, now called Umm Qais. The site offers remarkable panoramic views over the Golan Heights in Syria, the Sea of Galilee in Israel and the Jordan Valley to the south. Return to Amman for leisure time. Tonight, meet your tour manager and traveling companions at a welcome orientation

DAY 10, Thursday - Jerash , Amman City Tour
Travel north to the vast archaeological site of Jerash, known as the "Pompei Of The East", one of the best preserved Roman provincial towns in the world, uncovered after being hidden in the sand for centuries. Tour the soaring Temples of Artemis and Zeus, the Roman Forum, Hadrian's Arch, the massive theatre and mile-long Street of Columns. Afterwards, discover contrasting Amman - a unique blend of old and new, with a history dating back to the Stone Age. Begin at the ancient Citadel, towering above the city, site of ancient Rabbath-Ammon. Excavations here have revealed numerous Roman, Byzantine and early Islamic remains. The most impressive building, known as al-Qasr ("the Palace"), dates back to the Islamic Umayyad period. See the Temple of Hercules and the Jordan archaeological Museum, with its extensive collection of antiquities ranging from prehistoric times to the 15th century. After a panoramic tour of the city and its suburbs, continue to the Roman Theater, an impressive relic of ancient Philadelphia, built during the reign of Antonius Pius. Pass through the bustling bazaars (Souks) to the modern part of the city where the American Embassy is housed on our return to the hotel

DAY 11, Friday - Mt Nebo, Madaba
Travel along mountain-fringed King's Highway towards Petra. On the way, visit Mount Nebo, where the Bible says Moses climbed to see the Promised Land, and where he is presumed buried overlooking the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Continue to Madaba; enter the Church of St. George to view the vivid 6th century Byzantine map created of mosaic tiles depicting Jerusalem and the Holy Lands. After an included lunch, travel further to the town of Shobak, perched in a remote landscape. A great photo opportunity awaits you at the impressive Shobak Castle, formerly called Mont Real (the Royal Mountain), a reminder of former Crusader glory, dating back to 1116 AD. Pass through small villages and towns where olives, grapes, figs, and apricots are grown in the fertile fields. Arrive in the town of Petra for overnight

DAY 12, Saturday - Full Day in Petra
An astonishing day exploring Petra! Enter the "rose red" city hand-sculpted from a mountain range by the Nabateans in the 3rd century BC. Begin your walk (or ride) through the "Siq", a winding canyon road. At the end, you’ll gaze in total amazement at Petra's most extraordinary monument – the towering Treasury building rising over 140 feet. Beyond, discover soaring temples, elaborate royal tombs, a theatre, burial champers and water channels – all remnants of a once great Nabatean culture. Today, Petra is both a Jordanian national treasure and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! There will be time on your own to further explore Petra before returning to the hotel with a stop at Moses Springs

DAY 13, Sunday - Wadi Rum Desert, Travel to Dead Sea
Morning departure to Wadi Rum, a surreal desert terrain of ancient river beds, wind-sculpted mountains, vast desert vistas and pastel colored sands. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, often described as the "Valley of the Moon", served as inspiration (and site of the filming) for T.E. Lawrence's novel, Lawrence of Arabia. Ride in a 4x4 vehicle to explore the valley, with its looming rock faces that seem to grow directly out of the sand and endless skies. Cross the huge red sand dunes, and the eroded pillars of sandstone rock known as "The Seven Pillars". Then, a fabulous lunch in an authentic Bedouin Tent in the midst of the desert, where you’ll be introduced to "Zarb" – a selection of foods cooked in an oven with hot coals beneath the desert floor. Afterwards, we travel to our hotel in the unique Dead Sea area. Here, you can float in the "unsinkable" buoyant, salty waters at the lowest spot on earth. Take time to relax and enjoy the benefits of the mineral-rich therapeutic waters. Later this evening, a farewell dinner with your tour manager and travel companions

A visit to Sharjah is not complete without a stroll in the souks, where you can bargain for jewelry, handicrafts, and carpets, among other specialty items. Visit the Souk Al Arsah, the oldest in the country, and Souk Al Markazai, the largest souk in Sharjah with over 600 shops where you can bargain to your heart’s content.
