All through the excursion, our guide-interpreter will bring back to life the Palace of Versailles, where from 1682 Louis XIV officially installed the court and government of the Kingdom.
In particular, you will discover the Great Royal Apartments, the Hall of Mirrors and the Queen's Apartments. Free time at the end of the excursion to stroll through the French gardens surrounded by sculptures (statues, busts, marble vases) made from 1661 by teams of sculptors initially supervised by Charles Le Brun, the King's leading painter.

| Full Day Castles & Wines of the Loire Valley: $235 per person |
This excursion will allow you to know better the history, the gastronomy and the wines of the Loire valley. The day starts with a guided visit of the Castle of Chambord: the largest of the Loire Castles. You will admire the great work of Francois I. This castle was built as hunting grounds for him. You walk up to the terraces with the famous "double revolution" staircase, attributed to Leonardo da Vinci.

Then a guided visit of Cheverny Castle. It is the most beautifully furnished Castle of the Loire. It is still inhabited. You will be stunned by its genuine charm and magnificent decor.
The excursion continues on to Chemery for a visit of "La Grande Brosse" cellars - an important wine producer in the region - and for a tasting of three vintages.
Origins of this cellar, which extends over more than 3km of galleries at a depth underground of 40 meters, date to the tenth century. Stones have been extracted from it to build some of the region's castles - Chambord, Cheverny, Basilica of Blois, etc.
Note: Even in summertime the temperature inside the cellars is low: make sure to bring warm clothes for this visit!
