Burford – We visit this thriving old wool town built along a steep high street which leads down to a medieval bridge spanning the River Windrush. Burford is full of crooked little houses, leaning walls and gabled cottages. Then through the Windrush and Dickler Valley and into Gloucestershire to Bourton-onthe-Water, often called the “ Venice of the Cotswolds”.
Stow-On-The-Wold – We travel to the highest town in the Cotswolds, at 800ft. At one end stands the town stocks, at the other the ancient cross; all surrounded by elegant Cotswold houses and delightful shops.
Lunch In The Cotswolds – We’ll stop in one of the picturesque villages. (lunch not included)
Blenheim Palace Gardens – We visit the gardens landscaped by Capability Brown. Stratford-upon-Avon - We visit this delightful market town, steeped in culture and history, at the edge of the Forest of Arden, best known for being the birthplace of the world-famous playwright, William Shakespeare. We visit the half-timbered house where he was born in 1564, gaining a fascinating insight into his childhood.
You will also visit Christ Church College, the grandest college of them all. Many of the scenes in the Harry Potter feature films were shot in various locations of the college, and the Great Hall was replicated in the film studios to create Hogwarts Hall. Salisbury – Here we visit one of the finest medieval cathedrals in Britain. The spire of Salisbury Cathedral – the tallest in England at 404 feet – soars to the heavens, and marked a revolution in cathedral architecture when it was built 800 years ago. You can also visit the Charter House and see the Magna Carta.
Bath – Standing on the slopes of the River Avon, the honey-coloured Georgian terraces have enchanted visitors and residents alike for centuries. During your panoramic tour of Bath you’ll appreciate why this is – its beautifully proportioned crescents and lovingly cultivated flower beds are a testament to the vision of its 18th century planners, and it’s no surprise that this was the first city in England to be designated a World Heritage Site. There’ll also be time to explore the ‘lantern of the West’ – Bath Abbey – where the first British King was crowned in 973AD, and see the much photographed Pulteney Bridge, modelled on the Florentine Ponte Vecchio. During the tour we'll visit the Roman Baths that made the city famous, and the best preserved Roman Spa from the ancient world.

Arrive at Euston Station at 9:30 am for your Virgin train departing at 10:05 am and meet the Golden Tours representative by the Main Ticket Office who will check you in and escort you to your reserved seats.
Wedgwood - On arrival at Stoke Station you will be met by a representative who will take you to Wedgwood. After collecting your welcome pack at Wedgwood which includes entry to Wedgwood, souvenir guide book, and discounts you will tour the working factory. There is also time for shopping. You will then be taken to Stoke Station for your return journey to London.
You will have the chance to make your own piece of Wedgwood pottery and have it fired and sent home for you. Choose from making a Jaspar pot or a medallion; decorating a turned vase; or painting a plate, cup or flower. Meet your representative at the ticket office at Euston Station at 06:30am. Your train departs at 07:14 for Liverpool. Before taking the Magical Mystery tour Liverpool is yours to explore. We recommend you to make your way to Mathew Street and visit the Beatles Shop and Mathew Street Gallery. The Cavern Walks shopping centre houses the Beatles Statue. The Cavern Pub (almost directly opposite the Cavern Club opens at 11am and contains memorabilia relating to the Beatles. Leaving Mathew Street turning left along North John Street make your way to the Albert Dock (10 minute stroll) which contains a complex of Museums and galleries together with Bars and restaurants. The Museum of Liverpool life contains a MerseyBeat exhibition and the Customs and Excise Museum contains a Beatles Gold disc.
