    Day 1: Depart USA
  • Depart USA on an overnight flight for the Italian vacation of a lifetime.

  • Day 2: Venice
  • This morning you arrive in Venice airport, collect your bags and proceed through customs where a BMIT representative will be waiting to welcome you to Italy. From here we will transfer to our hotel in the powerfully romantic city of Venice, which is built on 118 small islands traversed by an intricate canal network. This wonderland is like nothing you will find anywhere else in the world. This evening we will all enjoy a welcome reception hosted by your Tour Director. (R)
  • Overnight: Carlton & Canal Hotel or similar

  • Day 3: Venice
  • After breakfast this morning your guide will take you on a delightful walking tour of this ‘City of Islands’. On our tour we will see St. Mark’s Square and Basilica, the Bell Tower and the Clock Tower and the Bridge of Sighs. Our tour will conclude at the Doges’ Palace, which you can visit at your leisure. This afternoon is free for additional sightseeing. Perhaps you might enjoy our optional gondola experience later in the day. Tonight we will enjoy dinner at a local Venetian restaurant. (B,D)

  • Day 4: Venice - Tuscany
  • This morning we will leave Venice for a scenic journey into the Tuscan countryside to the majestic Villa La Palagina. We travel south across the beautiful Apennine mountains, a woodland area as we head to the West coast where we will have a photo stop at the famous Leaning Tower. We will continue on to our splendid Tuscan Villa in the heart of the Chianti hills, a vacation destination for noble Florentine families since the sixteenth century. Relax by one of the beautiful pools, or explore the extensive park of Italian style gardens and age-old trees that completely surround the villa. Dinner will be served tonight in the Villa. (B,D)

  • Day 5: Tuscany
  • After breakfast this morning we will set off on tour though the bustling city of Florence. During our excursion we will see the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria. Our tour concludes at the Academy of Fine Arts* home to Michelangelo’s David, which you may visit on your own. After seeing many of Florence’s attractions, the afternoon is yours to explore parks, shops, markets and cafes at your leisure. We return in the afternoon to our villa and prior to dinner we will enjoy a wine tasting, produced by our very own villa. (B,D)
    * Entrance to the Acadamia and Uffizzi sell out in advance, in order to avoid disappointment, please book your tickets through the museums websites early.
  • Overnight: Villa la Palagina or similar

  • Day 6: Rome
  • Today, drive through the beautiful countryside to Siena. This fine medieval city sits on gentle hills between three river valleys. Notice the medieval ramparts where you are greeted with the Latin inscription 'Cor Magis Tibi Sena Pandit' (Siena opens its heart to you). Take a walking tour through the maze of narrow streets to one of the finest squares in Italy, the Piazza Del Campo where the famous 'Palio Horse Race' is held twice a year. Visit the 13th century Cathedral to see the many works of art including the black and white marble walls and columns and the marble floors with decorative inlays. This afternoon we will drive to Rome. Upon arrival we will have a panoramic tour of the city before we settle into our hotel. (B)

  • Day 7: Rome - Vatican
  • This morning tour the Vatican, the world's smallest, yet wealthiest independent state. Your guide will start the tour with an overview of the history of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. See the Hall of Tapestries and the Maps Gallery, but the highlight of the tour will be the Sistine Chapel, where the ceiling is covered with Michelangelo's famous paintings of the 'Creation' and 'Last Judgment.' Then we explore St. Peter's Square, with Bernini's 284 columns, before entering St. Peter's Basilica, the largest church in Christendom. See the many treasures including the golden mosaics of the apse, Bernini's bronze baldachin and the famed 'Pieta' by Michelangelo. The afternoon is at leisure to wander through this majestic city.   • Day 8: Rome - Free day (optional Ancient Rome Tour)
  • Today will be on your own to explore the heart of Rome. See buildings spanning two millennia. Not to be missed is the Colosseum, or the Spanish Steps, with its many café’s. Continue on to the Pantheon, built over 2,000 years ago to honor Caesar Augustus and later converted to a Christian church. Stop at Piazza Navona, one of Rome's most beautiful and popular squares with its three fountains. Cross the famous shopping street of Via Del Corso to the splendid Baroque Trevi Fountain with its rocks, tritons, Neptune's chariot and rushing waters. Throw a coin into the fountain to ensure your return to Rome. Or opt for a tour of Ancient Rome including a visit to the Coliseum, Pantheon and Roman Forum. Tonight we will enjoy a Traditional Italian meal with local entertainment.(B,D)

  • Day 9: Return to the USA
  • After breakfast we depart for the airport for your homebound flight. You may choose to extend your stay in Rome or another Italian city. (B)

    Notes:
    Space is limited and your desired travel dates may not be available if you wait, so book early to avoid disappointment. We highly recommend 2nd and 3rd choices for travel dates and/or accommodations.


  • Group Transfers:
    Please verify your arrival and departure flight information as this is what the group transfers have been based upon.

  • Documentation:
    All tour documentation will be sent out to the travel agent approximately 21 days prior to the departure of the tour, provided full payment has been received. In the event this is not acceptable, we require sufficient notice in order to avoid express shipping charges. If we are not given sufficient notice, the passenger or travel agent will be responsible for express delivery charges.

  • Passport Requirements:
    It is the sole responsibility of each passenger to obtain the necessary documents for travel, not excluding passports and visas. A valid passport is normally the only requirement for U.S. citizens. Visa requirements do change without notice and vary by nationality. Please check with the consulate office of the destination country as to visa requirements.

  • Tour Cancellations:
    Tour departures are not guaranteed. If it becomes necessary to cancel a coach tour prior to departure, we will offer the next available date at no additional land cost. If this is not acceptable, a full refund on all monies paid will be made. We cannot accept responsibility for any additional costs or fees relating to such a tour booking. If you purchase a non-refundable airline ticket, you are advised by these terms and conditions that we are not responsible for any cancellation penalties due to non-refundable airfares.

  • Baggage:
    Motor coach luggage compartments require the restriction of one large suitcase and one carry-on bag per person. Wheeled carry-on bags are not suitable as hand luggage on motor coaches. Airline baggage allowance is restricted to two bags per person and airlines at their discretion may restrict the size and weight of your luggage. No responsibility by BMIT is accepted for loss of or damage to baggage or any of the passenger’s belongings. No responsibility by BMIT is accepted for loss of or damage to baggage or items left on the bus during the day. We recommend you to purchase Travel Protection.

  • Coach Tours:
    Motor coach tours are normally operated by 44 to 53 seat motor coaches. When passenger numbers are low, a smaller coach may be used. Smoking is not allowed on motor coaches or minibuses. In order to ensure congenial membership, the tour company reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant and to expel from the tour any participant whose conduct is deemed incompatible with the interests of the tour group.

  • Hotel Accommodation:
    Hotel accommodation will be supplied as described. On certain departures, due to seasonal demands, we reserve the right to alter itineraries and substitute hotels for similar type accommodations.

  • Air-conditioning:
    Although available at most of the hotels offered in our escorted tour programs, conditions and use of air-conditioning abroad differs greatly from the United States. Many European hotels were built before central air-conditioning was introduced. Air-conditioning is often shut down at night.

  • Health requirements:
    Tour members should check with the consulates and/or the local health boards for the latest health requirements.

  • Travelers who need special assistance:
    Any disability requiring special attention must be reported to the tour company at the time of booking. The tour company will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the special needs of disabled tour participants, but is not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, lodges, restaurants, or other independent suppliers, nor any additional expenses incurred. Motor coaches and minibuses are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. Individual assistance cannot be provided to a tour member for walking, dining, getting on/off motor coaches and other transportation vehicles, or other personal needs. Travelers who need assistance must be accompanied by a qualified and physically able companion. Motorized scooters are unsuitable for touring.

  • Young tour participants:
    Tour participants under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of 10 years are not accepted.

  • Not Included:
    Tours do not include airfare, airport departure taxes, airport/hotel transfers unless specified in the itinerary, items of a personal nature, excess baggage charges, laundry, phone calls, liquor, wine, soft drinks or any other item not specifically mentioned as being included.

  • Group Travel:
    Separate Terms & Conditions apply for groups of 20 or more.


  • Restrictions:
    Prices are per person based on double occupancy and a 30-day advance purchase. Purchases within 30 days will incur additional shipping and handling fees. Travel is valid for these dates only. This is a nonrefundable, non-changeable purchase. Certain other restrictions may apply, and offer is subject to change without notice. No request will be processed until full payment is received. Once submitted your request can take at least 24 hours to confirm. 2nd and 3rd choices for travel dates are highly recommended.

    Airport/Hotel Transfers: Unless specified above in the inclusions, transportation between the airport and hotels are not included. Travelers must make their own way to/from hotels via taxi or public transportation.
