Day 1 Wednesday: Depart USA
Depart the USA on an overnight flight arriving at the Rio airport (GIG) the next day. Please note that departure flights from some cities are day flights arriving in Rio the same day. Please advise us if you would like to add an extra night stay for an additional charge.
Day 2 Thursday: Arrive Rio de Janeiro
A driver will meet you outside of customs and transfer you to your hotel. We suggest you add our Meet and Greet Transfer Upgrade that provides a private car and personal guide who will introduce you to Rio, help you with orientation, provide helpful hints and facts about the city as well as assist you with hotel check in.
Spend the rest of the day at your leisure. We suggest you book our Rio by Night Scala Show that includes dinner. You’ll enjoy a wonderful local meal and a great samba show where mulatas exhibit the intricate steps of local dances and batuqueiros produce a delirium beat from exotic percussion instruments.

Day 3 Friday: Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast at the hotel.
Free day at leisure. We suggest you book our Full Day Corcovado and Sugarloaf Tour that includes a visit around the Wonderful City, the Tijuca Forest (a brief passage), historical downtown and the beach coast. This tour provides buffet lunch in a churasqueria, a traditional Brazilian barbecue restaurant.

Day 4 Saturday: Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast at the hotel.
Free day at leisure. We suggest you book our Full Day Tropical Islands Cruise. After a one-hour bus tour to Itacuruca, you’ll board a schooner for your cruise around Rio’s islands, renowned for being one of the best areas for diving and fishing in all of Brazil. White sands, palms and clear water form this paradise - inviting you to just sit back, relax and enjoy, if you are lucky you may see dolphins gliding through the waters. The included lunch will be on a private island where you will observe many interesting birds and animals.

Day 5 Sunday: Rio de Janeiro to Manaus
Breakfast at the hotel
Transfer from your hotel to the airport to meet your flight to Manaus.
You will be met at the Manaus airport (MAO) by a driver for your transfer to the Tropical Manaus Hotel.
Spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
You may choose to book sightseeing tours or excursions available as you go through the booking process.

Day 6 Monday: Manaus
Breakfast at the hotel
You will be met at the Tropical Manaus Hotel at 2:00 pm and the proceed to the landing stage to board Amazon Clipper.
Orientation of the ship.
Navigation to the "Meeting of the waters". Observation. Navigation in the Xiborena and Careiro region to Curari. Canoe trip in smaller creeks to see life on the floodplan: jute, market-garden produce, rubber trees, as well as floodplan forest and lakes with giant water lilies (in season). This trip returns after sunset, so that we can observe night life, including caymans. Navigation up the Amazon (Rio Solimões) to the Janauaca.
Accommodation aboard the Amazon Clipper (B, D)
Day 7 Tuesday: Amazon
Early morning canoe trip for bird-watching. There is a good chance of seeing hoatzins and large flocks of greets and cormorants.
Breakfast aboard the ship.
Visit to the inhabitants of the lake who live from manioc plantations, fishing, diverse fruit trees, rubber, Brazil nuts plantations, wood and other extractive products. Walk in the forest with commentaries by the specialist.
Lunch aboard the ship.
Navigation up the river. Fishing for piranhas and others types of fish.
Dinner aboard the ship.
Night trip to see nocturnal animals, sometimes including night-hawks, snakes, Toro-rats, sloth and frogs.
Navigation downstream on the Amazon (Rio Solimões).
Accommodation aboard the Amazon Clipper (B, L, D)
Day 8 Wednesday: Manaus to USA
Early morning bird-watching trip in the Januari Ecological Park or nearby waterways (often good for Capped Herons).
Breakfast aboard the ship.
Navigation to the Hotel Tropical Landing-stage arriving at 11:30 am.
Transfer to the airport in Manaus to meet your flight to the USA.

Due to special events and/or trade fairs this package may not available or a surcharge will be applied depending on availability at time of request.
Space is limited and your desired travel dates may not be available if you wait, so book early to avoid disappointment. We highly recommend 2nd and 3rd choices for travel dates and/or accommodations.
South America Departure Tax:
Upon departure in local currency or USD (cash only) the amount of $20 - 45 in some countries is required (amounts may vary daily based on currency fluctuations). Aircraft boarding will be denied to any passenger who fails to pay this tax which is collected after check-in and prior to boarding by Federal Airport staff. Passport numbers are required for confirmation.

It is the sole responsibility of each passenger to obtain the necessary documents for travel, including valid passports and visas For U.S. citizens, a valid passport and visa are required. Visa requirements change without notice and vary by nationality. Please check with the consulate office of the destination country for their visa requirements.

Wednesday departures only
Prices are per person based on double occupancy and a 21-day advance purchase. Purchases within 21 days will incur additional fees. Air carrier used in the package is based on gateway and availability at time of booking and multiple flights connections may be necessary. Flight departure times may be at any time on your requested departure day. Surcharges up to $50 per person each way may apply for travel Thursday through Monday depending on travel dates. Air taxes/Government-imposed fees/surcharges are excluded. These fees are in addition to the package prices and will be added to invoice. Travel is valid for these dates only. Certain other restrictions may apply, and offer is subject to change without notice. No request will be processed until full payment is received. Once submitted your request can take at least 24 hours to confirm. 2nd and 3rd choices for travel dates are highly recommended.
