DAY 1, Monday - Depart the USA
Depart the USA for Spain. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey

DAY 2, Tuesday - Arrive in Madrid
Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. Tonight, enjoy a welcome cocktail and orientation meeting

DAY 3, Wednesday - Madrid City Tour
Morning sightseeing tour of Madrid. Drive along the Grand Via through the Opera District, Plaza de Colon, and view the Royal Palace. Pass through Puerto del Sol Plaza and Plaza España with its monument to the author Cervantes. The tour will end at the Prado Museum where you will be able to admire works of art by famous artists such as El Greco, Velázquez, and Ribera. Afternoon and evening at leisure to enjoy a walk in the Retiro, visit museums or join our optional tour to El Escorial

DAY 4, Thursday - Toledo, Travel to Valencia
Today begin with a visit to the ancient capital of Toledo, with its mighty cathedral and impressive Alcazar. A walking tour of the old town will highlight the Synagogue and the El Greco masterpiece in the Ste. Tome church. This afternoon, head east towards the Mediterranean Coast through the groves of olives, almonds, lemons and oranges to the garden city of Valencia

DAY 5, Friday - Valencia City Tour
This morning enjoy a guided tour of Spain’s third largest city. Your tour includes the City Gates, City Hall, and the Cathedral. Admire the incredible buildings of the Arts and Science City designed by contemporary artist Calatrava. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure

DAY 6, Saturday - Travel to Barcelona, Cava Tasting in Penedes Region
This morning head along the coast line to Peñiscola and see the ancient castle used in the film ‘El Cid’. This fortified seaport, with a lighthouse built on a rocky headland about 220 feet high, is joined to the mainland by only a narrow strip of land. The present castle was built by the Knights Templar between 1294 and 1307. Continue through the Costa Dorada to the wine region of Penedes for a taste of the local wines in one of the wine cellars

DAY 7, Sunday - Barcelona City Tour, Embark Cruise
This morning’s tour of Barcelona begins with a panoramic tour of the old Harbor, Plaza de Espana and Plaza Catalunya. Continue with a guided walk through the Gothic Quarter; view the cathedral and the Gaudi's Sagrada Familia, a large, unfinished Roman Catholic Basilica. Then drive up Montjuic Hill to the site of the 1992 Olympic Stadium. Later, bid farewell to your tour manager and transfer to the port. Embark on your ship this evening at 6pm

DAY 8, Monday - At Sea
Enjoy a day at sea aboard the ship as you sail across the sparkling Mediterranean. Today at 7:00 am dock in Naples, located on Italy's breathtaking southern coast. Explore this picturesque city or join an excursion to see the impressive sites in the area. Go to the ancient city of Pompeii, destroyed by the Volcano Vesuvius in 79 AD and remarkably well-preserved by volcanic ash. Perhaps marvel at the natural beauty of Italy's Amalfi Coast, including the Isle of Capri, with its towering rock cliffs and turquoise waters. Set sail for Rome at 7:00 pm

DAY 10, Wednesday - Full Day in Rome
Arrive in Italy this morning at 6:00 am and enjoy a full day at leisure while docked in Civitavecchia, the port of Rome located 90 minutes from the city center. Join one of the many optional tours throughout Rome, or explore the Eternal City on your own. Perhaps take a stroll through ancient Rome and visit the Forum, the Coliseum, and the Pantheon. Be sure not to miss the many artistic treasures of Rome such as the Vatican Museum's collection of works by Raphael and Michelangelo, including the breathtaking Sistine Chapel. Stop by one of the several museums packed with artifacts from the ancient city, or take a walk through the numerous piazzas and enjoy the sculptural works on display in the open air. DAY 11, Thursday - Full Day in Livorno, Italy
This morning at 7:00 am, arrive in Livorno, located in the heart of the Tuscany region of Italy. Enjoy the beautiful countryside or opt to visit nearby Florence and Pisa. Florence is known as the birthplace of the Renaissance and is world renowned for its art galleries, including the Accademia of Fine Arts, where Michelangelo's David is housed, and the Uffizi Gallery. Pisa is home to spectacular churches as well as the iconic Leaning Tower. This evening at 7:00 pm begin sailing for France

DAY 12, Friday - Full Day in Marseille, France
This morning at 10:00 am, arrive in Marseille, a picturesque port in the south of France. This afternoon arrive in Palma de Mallorca at 1:00 pm. Choose to explore the various castles and museums before roaming a wonderful maze of narrow streets in the, very popular, Old Town. Set sail this evening at 8:00 pm

Half Day Escorial Tour Enjoy a visit to what has often been described as the "eighth wonder of the world."El Escorial" is, perhaps, Philip II´s most enduring legacy to Spain. This combination monastery-palace-mausoleum is situated approximately one hour outside of Madrid in the foothills of the Guadarrama Mountains. This austere monastery, erected by King Philip II in 1584, was intended to be a memorial to his father, King Charles V, and to commemorate Spain´s victory at Saint Quentin in 1557. It has since become the burial place of subsequent Spanish kings and queens.
