    This itinerary is performed by a local tour company.     DAY 1, Wednesday - Arrive in Montreal
    Arrive in Montreal and transfer to your hotel. Your tour director will contact you in the late afternoon. Balance of the day at leisure

    DAY 2, Thursday - Chemin du Roy and Quebec City
    This morning depart by motor coach for Quebec City. Your route will take you along the Chemin du Roy, Canada's first road connecting Montreal and the capital of Quebec. You will wind your way through picturesque French-Canadian villages and towns and get a glimpse of French culture. Upon arrival in Quebec City, enjoy a tour of the old city, including Lower Town, Battlefields Park, the site of a pivotal battle between the French and British in 1759 during the French and Indian War, and the ornate city gates of the ramparts surrounding Old Quebec

    DAY 3, Friday - Day at Leisure in Quebec City
    Today is at leisure for you to further explore the city. Perhaps return to Old Quebec to further investigate this historic area, including the World Heritage Site ramparts, and Notre Dame des Victoires Cathedral, or enjoy a stroll in Parliament Hill. Other must-see sites include the Place-Royale, Petit-Champlain District, Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Shrine, Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Quebec, and Dufferin Terrace

    DAY 4, Saturday - Travel to Ottawa
    Today's route takes you along the St. Lawrence River and into Ontario. Along the way you will stop for lunch at the Sucrerie de la Montagne, an authentic sugar shack and pioneer-style restaurant. This site has been designated a Quebec Heritage site. From here you will continue on to Ottawa, the nation's capital. Upon arrival you will be treated to a tour of the city, including views of the Parliament Buildings, residences of the Prime Minister and Governor General, and the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The remainder of the day is at leisure

    DAY 5, Sunday - Turtle Island and Day at Leisure in Ottawa
    This morning enjoy the Turtle Island aboriginal experience breakfast on Victoria Island. Here you will learn about the traditions and culture of the aboriginal peoples of Ottawa, including a traditional native dance performance and buffet breakfast. The afternoon is at leisure to explore Ottawa on your own. You can visit some of the many museums and galleries, including the National Gallery of Canada and the Canadian Museum of Civilization. Perhaps take a boat cruise on one of the city's waterways or visit the stables of the Royal Canadian Mounties

    DAY 6, Monday - Algonquin Provincial Park
    Today's journey takes you west of Ottawa, past sparkling lakes, deep forests, and quaint towns. We will stop for a walk along the scenic trails of Algonquin Provincial Park. This wildlife and forest preserve covers 2,946 square miles and is home to snowshoe hares, moose, black bears, lynx, and eastern wolves. Continuing on your journey, you will enter the Muskoka resort region, your destination for the evening

    DAY 7, Tuesday - Niagara Falls
    This morning, depart Midland for Niagara Falls, stopping at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons for breakfast. This historic site is a detailed reconstruction of the first inland European community in Canada, originally established in 1639, and offers a look at early pioneer life. Next, the tour heads south through the orchards and vineyards of the Niagara Peninsula. Upon arrival at Niagara Falls, enjoy a thrilling boat ride on the Maid of the Mist to the foot of the thundering waterfalls. Next, ride to the top of Skylon Tower for breathtaking views of the falls and surrounding landscape. The evening is at leisure to explore North America's "honeymoon capital"

    DAY 8, Wednesday - Toronto
    Departing Niagara Falls, your tour follows the scenic Niagara Parkway, passing through the historic village of Niagara-on-the-Lake, en route to Toronto. This evening enjoy a special "Farewell to Canada" dinner at the CN Tower
