    DAY 1, Sunday - Depart the USA
    Depart the USA for France. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey

    DAY 2, Monday - Arrive in Paris
    Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure exploring the City of Lights
    Overnight: Paris

    DAY 3, Tuesday - Full Day in Paris
    This morning meet your tour that takes you into the heart of Paris' Old City. Along the drive you'll view such sights as the Capital complex, featuring the Hotel de Ville (City Hall), Bastille Square, and Rue Saint-Antoine. The tour continues to view the Marais District, and on to the Latin Quarter. From here, enjoy a guided tour of Notre Dame Cathedral and a short cruise to approach and leave the Cite Island (except when the river is overrun). Before returning to Place des Pyramides, admire the geometric design of Vendome Square and the sublime charm of the Old Opera. This afternoon is free to further discover Paris independently

    DAY 4, Wednesday - Full Day in Paris

    DAY 5 Thursday - Train to Lyon
    This morning transfer on your own to the train station where you will depart Paris for Lyon. Upon arrival in Lyon, transfer independently to the port. Embarkation begins at 4 pm. Tonight, enjoy a gala welcome cocktail and dinner on board as you set sail for Macon

    DAY 6, Friday - Full Day in Macon
    In the morning arrive to Macon, best known for its pastel buildings and local wine. Nearby are the Beaujolais and Mâconnais wine regions. Perhaps take the optional tour to the Abbey of Cluny in Burgundy, which once served as the center of the major monastic movement in the Middle Ages. Its church was the largest Christian building in the world until St. Peter's Basilica was rebuilt in Rome in the 16th century. Set sail in the evening for Chalon sur Saone at 9:30 pm

    DAY 7, Saturday - Morning in Chalon sur Saone
    Arrive to Chalon sur Saone at 8:00 am. Chalon is known well as the birthplace of photography. There is a museum dedicated to this with over 2 million photographs and camera equipment from old and modern times. Perhaps, enjoy a walk to St. Vincent?s Cathedral or some free time to sit and relax at a café in the city square. This afternoon sail to Tournus for a one hour stop. Set sail for Lyon at 6:30 pm

    DAY 8, Sunday - Full Day in Lyon
    Lyon not only marks the meeting of the Saone and Rhône Rivers, but it is also the gastronomic capital of France. A city full of rich ancient history, Lyon has many Roman ruins and early Christian sites. Lyon was founded as a Roman colony in 43 BC. Walk by the Cathderal of St. John, the National Opera House or even make a visit to the Fine arts museum which is one of the largest galleries in France. Enjoy a day at leisure exploring the cobbled streets and Renaissance charm or make a visit to some of the historical sites. At 4 pm set sail for Avignon

    DAY 9, Monday - Arrive in Avignon

Avignon's lavish Palais des Papes (Palace of the Popes) was considered the center of the Christian world during the 14th century. Another point of interest is the Pont d'Avignon, a ruined 12th-century bridge that once spanned the Rhône

    DAY 10, Tuesday - Morning in Avignon, Evening in Arles

This afternoon, at 1:00 pm set sail for Arles and arrive at 4:30 pm. The Roman and Romanesque Monuments of Arles are UNESCO World Heritage sites. These sites include the Roman theatre, the Obelisk of Arles, the Thermes of Constantine and more. This evening, set sail at 10:00 pm

    Versailles Apartments (VAM) 8:45 AM Relive the glorious period of Louis XIV, XV and XVI as you pace one of the largest and most influential formal gardens in the world. Today's tour takes you Versailles Palace to witness the grandeur of French classical architecture. Visit the Palace and extravagant State Apartments, including a guided visit to the Reception Halls, the Queen's Bedroom, and the Hall of Mirrors. You will also have time to walk the palace grounds and formal gardens*, designed by Andre le Notre, at your leisure.
