William the Conqueror through the current Queen have all lived at Windsor. Visit St. George's Chapel and the State Apartments. Next, drive through Runnymede, where King John signed the Magna Carta in 1215. Stop for lunch in a traditional country pub. Relax and soak up the charming atmosphere while being served some delicious home cooked food. Arrive at Stonehenge, the mystical stone circle on the vast Salisbury plain. Considered the world's best-known megalithic monument of the Neolithic and Bronze Ages, the site was originally thought to be a place of early Druid worship. Its origins date back nearly 5,000 years, and even today it remains a remarkable and mysterious feat of ancient engineering and design. Our final stop is Bath, another world heritage site. Bath is a beautiful Georgian city with delightful crescents, terraces and architecture. Following our guided tour of the city, there will be plenty of time to shop and explore. You could visit the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge, the Jane Austen Centre and the elegant Assembly Rooms built in 1771.
