    DAY 1, Thursday - Depart the USA
    Depart the USA for France. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for the journey

    DAY 2, Friday - Arrive in Paris
    Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. In the early evening, join your tour manager for an orientation meeting and drink followed by a cruise on the Seine River to introduce you to Paris and to see the iconic Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral
    Overnight: Paris

    DAY 3, Saturday - Versailles Gardens, Loire Valley
    After breakfast, we begin our tour with a visit to the town of Versailles. View the opulent Chateau, once the seat of Louis 14th, the Sun King and visit the gardens to see the musical fountains, designed by Le Notre. Depart Versailles for the Loire River Valley and the city of Blois, where you will behold the elegant Chateau de Blois and see its most renowned feature, the spiral staircase, in the Francois I wing. Continue to your hotel in the Loire Valley

    DAY 4, Sunday - Cognac, Bordeaux
    Heading south west, stop at the small town of Cognac, to visit one of the cellars where the finest French brandies are produced. Afterward, travel south to the wine producing region of Bordeaux, where you will view Quinquonces Square, the Grand Theatre and the Victory Arch during an orientation tour

    DAY 5, Monday - Visit St. Emilion, Bordeaux
    This morning enjoy a tour of St. Emilion, a World Heritage site that dates to the prehistoric. The Romans planted vineyards in the 2nd century and the tradition was carried on by the monk Emilion, a traveling confessor, who with the help of his companions started commercial wine production in the area. Then enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, where you may choose to take a stroll down Rue St. Catherine, a main pedestrian thoroughfare running through the historic district, and peruse its local boutiques in lively downtown Bordeaux

    DAY 6, Tuesday - Visit Lourdes Sanctuary & Grotto
    Today depart for Lourdes. In the shadow of the mighty Pyrenees, this town rose to fame when Bernadette Soubirous had visions of Marian apparitions at the grotto of Massabielle in 1858. The town has since become a place of pilgrimage and of miraculous healings. See the church, sanctuary and grotto where the apparitions took place and behold the healing water spring. Tonight witness the torch light procession, which has unfailingly taken place since 1872

    DAY 7, Wednesday - Carcassonne, Montpellier
    First stop today is Carcassonne, a medieval town as you always imagined. The fortified city of concentric design is surrounded by two fortified walls with 53 towers & turrets. Enjoy a stroll through the halcyonic cobbled streets and see the St. Nazaire Basilica. Continue to lively Montpellier

    DAY 8, Thursday - Montpellier
    An entire day at leisure today to discover the museums and gardens of Montpellier. You may choose to explore this bustling University town and its many vibrant neighborhoods or hike the Pic St-Loup to be humbled by its magnificent view

    DAY 9, Friday - Nimes, Pont Du Gard, Lyon
    Today your first stop will be in Nimes, where you will see the Roman Amphitheatre and beautifully restored temple, Maison Carre. Continue on to the Roman engineering masterpiece, Pont Du Gard, an aqueduct built in 19 AD. Next visit Avignon, to admire the Palace of the Popes and the broken bridge of St. Benezet, with its elliptical arches allowing spans of up to 114 feet. Continue to head north up the Rhone Valley, to Lyon, where orientation will take place on Fourviere hill for a picturesque view of the charming Old Town below

    DAY 10, Saturday - Burgundy Vineyards, Dijon
    A day to enjoy the delights of Burgundy. First, make a stop in Beaune located in the heart of the some of the world’s finest vineyards for a tasting. See the Hotel Dieu and the lively market square. Continue to Dijon, famous for its gastronomic delights and home to the Dukes of Burgundy from the early 11th until the late 15th centuries. See the Ducal Palace and the Dijon Cathedral before arriving at your hotel

    DAY 11, Sunday - Champagne tasting, Paris
    We depart for the Champagne region today and stop in Epernay to visit the cellars of Moet & Chandon where you will learn from their experienced vinters and hone your palette on their refined product. Continue to Paris, where tonight we will enjoy a farewell dinner in a local Parisian bistro with wine, and a night time drive

    DAY 12, Monday - Paris

    Full Day Camargue, Saintes Maries de la Mer & Aigues-Mortes Travel to the heart of Camargue, one of Europe's most undomesticated and well protected natural reserves. Spanning roughly 316 square miles, this wild land of exceptional beauty, briny marshes and wonderful heritage will captivate your every sense. Begin the tour with a stop at Saintes Maries de la Mer, capital of Camargue, and sight of the annual Romani pilgrimage to venerate their Saint, the Black Sara. Following is a short cruise on the Rhone River where you will admire the white Camargian horses and black bulls running free from a distance. You may even have the privilege of seeing the renowned flamingos sifting through the shallow salt lakes. After your cruise, you will visit Aigues-Mortes, a medieval city founded by Louis IX, who desired a harbor on the Mediterranean Sea. You will have free time to explore the city including Constance Tower, St Louis Square, the Statue of the King and Notre Dame des Sablons, an early gothic style church.
