    DAY 1, Friday - Depart the USA
    Depart the USA for France. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for the journey

    DAY 2, Saturday - Arrive in Paris
    Upon arrival in Paris, transfer to your hotel. This evening, join your tour manager for an orientation meeting and welcome drink
    Overnight: Paris

    DAY 3, Sunday - Paris City Tour
    This morning, enjoy a guided city tour of Paris on a panoramic tour and drive along the Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe, Concorde Square and the Opera house. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure

    DAY 4, Monday - Loire Valley & Chenonceau Castle
    After breakfast, head for the Loire Valley. View the Chateau de Amboise, set in a delightful town on the river bank and hear about its Royal and artistic history. Leonardo da Vinci worked here and is buried in the chapel. Next, visit the Palace of Chenonceaux built partly on a bridge across the River Cher with it's decorated apartments and formal gardens. Continue to your hotel in Blois

    DAY 5, Tuesday - Dijon
    A day to enjoy the delights of Burgundy. Drive past charming wine villages such as Chablis and arrive in Dijon, famous for its gastronomy and home of the Dukes of Burgundy from the early 11th until the late 15th centuries. See the Ducal Palace and the Cathedral before arriving at the hotel

    DAY 6, Wednesday - Beaune Wine Tasting
    First, make a stop in Beaune in the heart of the some of the world’s finest vineyards for a tasting. See the Hotel Dieu and the lively market square. Continue towards Avignon to view the broken bridge of St. Benezet, with its elliptical arches allowing spans of up to 114 feet, and the Medieval Popes Palace

    DAY 7, Thursday - Avignon
    Today enjoy a full day at leisure. Take a leisurely stroll in the Palace Gardens and admire the views over the Rhone river to Chateauneuf, or explore the mighty stone ramparts and city walls. Perhaps dine on the Place de L’Horlorge or shop for local specialties in the boutiques of this lovely town

    DAY 8, Friday - Cannes & French Perfumery
    Cross the heart of Provence to make a stop in Cannes, which started life as a fishing village until is was favored in the 19th century as a winter resort by the aristocracy. Now best know for its Annual Film Festival, jet set harbor and catwalks. Pay a visit to a French perfumery in Grasse before arriving in Nice

    DAY 9, Saturday - Nice
    A day at leisure to stroll the Promenade des Anglais or see the Old Town, the Flower Market and Russian Church. Perhaps take a mini-train up to the "Colline du Château" for panoramic views of the city and “Bay of the Angels” or join us on an optional tour to St. Paul de Vence- a walled medieval town filled with galleries, workshops and delicious cuisine

Today's tour takes you Versailles Palace to witness the grandeur of French classical architecture. Visit the Palace and extravagant State Apartments, including a guided visit to the Reception Halls, the Queen's Bedroom, and the Hall of Mirrors. You will also have time to walk the palace grounds and formal gardens, designed by Andre le Notre, at your leisure. This tour follows the included morning tour of Paris. Following a short break at the hotel, we will proceed immediately to Versailles where there will be time for lunch on your own before entering Versailles. At the end of the tour, return to your hotel.

    Pont du Gard & NimesDay #7 01 Nov 2013 - 31 Mar 2014           $49
    Pont du Gard & Nimes Today enjoy a full day discovering the beautiful Roman architecture in Provence. Begin with a scenic drive from Avignon westward towards Pont du Gard. This ancient Roman aqueduct bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stands over 150 ft high and formerly provided the city of Nimes with its water supply. Its amazing to see the precision that the Romans were able to accomplish with simple technology to create such an alluring 3-tier of arches constructed of mainly limestone. Afterward, continue towards Nimes to visit the Arena of Nimes. This Roman amphitheater was built around 19 AD and was the sight of many Gladiator tournaments and other games. Later the structure was converted into a fortress to provide a refuge for the citizens. Later, return to Avignon.
