    DAY 1, Saturday - Depart the USA
    Depart the USA for France. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey

    DAY 2, Sunday - Arrive in Paris, Travel to Loire Valley
    Arrive in Paris and pick up your vehicle at the airport. Drive to your hotel in the Loire Valley region and enjoy the balance of the day at leisure

    DAY 3, Monday - Orleans, Chambord, Blois
    Spend the full day at leisure in the Loire Valley or explore Orleans, the historic city where Joan of Arc saved France from the English in 1429. Visit the Maison de Jeanne d'Arc and the Cathedrale Sante-Croix, rebuilt between the 17th and 19th centuries. Depart Orleans and travel to the Chateau de Chambord, the largest residence in the Loire Valley. Chambord was built for Francois I in the 16th Century by 1,800 men and master masons. Next, drive to the charming town of Blois and visit the Chateau Royal de Blois, located on the north bank of the river. The Chateau was the royal residence of Henry IV and now contains four unique wings to explore. Return to your hotel in the evening

    DAY 4, Tuesday - Tours, Chenonceau
    Spend the full day at leisure in the Loire Valley or explore the enchanting city of Tours, built on the site of a Roman town. Take a stroll down the atmospheric place Plumereau and stop in one of the many galleries, boutiques, and cafes. Depart Tours and travel to the magnificent Chateau de Chenonceau. Stretching across the river Cher, the chateau boasts a 197 foot gallery, built over a series of arches. Take some time to explore the extravagantly furnished rooms and formal gardens, added by a mistress of of Henry II. Return to your hotel in the early evening

    DAY 5, Wednesday - Chartres, En Route to Normandy
    Depart Loire Valley and drive to Normandy. On the way, visit Chartres, home to the greatest gothic cathedral in Europe. Originally built in 1020, the cathedral contains the sacred Veil of the Virgin relic and a world-renowned collection of stained glass windows. Continue on to your hotel in Normandy. Enjoy the balance of the day at leisure or explore Rouen, the capital of Normandy. Visit the gothic Cathedral Notre-Dame and view its west façade, the famous subject of a series of paintings by Monet. Take a stroll past the Great Clock on the rue aux Juifs and stop in one of the many shops and cafes. Continue on to the place du Vieux-Marche, the site where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake in 1431. Return to your hotel in the evening

    DAY 6, Thursday - Cotentin Peninsula
    Spend the full day at leisure in Normandy or explore the sandy beaches of the Cotentin Peninsula. Visit the historic Utah beach along the east coast, where the allied invasion took place on June 6, 1944. Continue east to visit Omaha beach and the site of the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial. The cemetery covers 172.5 acres and contains the graves of 9,387 American soldiers. Return to your hotel in the early evening

    DAY 7, Friday - Giverny En Route to Paris
    Depart Normandy and drive to Paris. On the way, stop in Giverny and visit the former house of Claude Monet. Explore the famous gardens which inspired many of Monet's paintings. Drop the car rental off at a central Paris location** and independently make your way to your hotel.

Choose to visit the beautiful works of art in the Louvre museum, or spend the day in the many cafés and bistros that define Parisian cuisine

    Cruise & Illuminations (CI) 7:15 PM Tonight, see Paris city as it is meant to be seen -- cruising the River Seine. From the comfort of your ship, enjoy illuminated views of some of the city's historic monuments, and scenes of Paris otherwise unnoticed from street level. Afterwards, put ashore for the second leg of the tour and enjoy an illuminated drive through the city. Criss-crossing avenues past flood-lit monuments, you'll see the Place Vendome, Comedie Française, the Louvre, Pont-Neuf, Hotel des Monnaies, Saint-Germain-des-Pres, Notre Dame, Place du Chatelet, Conciergerie, Hotel de Ville, Place de la Concorde, Petit et Grand Palais, Champs-Elysees, the Eiffel Tower, Invalides, Eglise de la Madeleine, and the Opera Pigalle. The tour ends at Place de L'Opera.

    During winter months, the tour will begin with the illuminations tour and end with the Seine River cruise.

    Grand Louvre Museum (GL) 9:30 AM This Grand Louvre walking tour begins with a stroll through the commercial area outside the Louvre, and continues inside the museum where an experienced guide will present to you various exhibitions. Of the many exhibitions found therein, this tour covers those of the medieval fortress, the modern pyramid, the Egyptian Department, and some of the museum's most reputed masterpieces, including Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa.

    Paris Seinorama (PS) 2:45 PM Depart the Cityrama office via the Place de la Concorde and continue along the Champs Elysées as far as the Arc de Triomphe. The tour continues towards the 16th district, considered one of the most prestigious residential areas in Paris, and home to the celebrated Bois de Boulogne. Reach quai de la Bourdonnais, where you will board a Bateaux Parisiens vessel for a delightful one-hour Seine River cruise. Enjoy commentary detailing the many historic bridges of Paris as you cruise. When the cruise terminates, visit the Eiffel Tower and enjoy a panoramic view of France's unforgettable capital. Your guide will point out the principal landmarks of the city from the Tower's second floor observatory. At the end of the tour you may choose to explore the city on your own, or return by bus to the terminal.
