    DAY 2, Tuesday - Arrive in Tokyo
    Arrive in Tokyo and transfer to your hotel via airport bus. Balance of the day at leisure
    Overnight: Tokyo

    DAY 3, Wednesday - Tokyo City Tour*
    This morning enjoy a city tour of Tokyo. The tour begins with a visit to Meiji Shrine, dedicated to Emperor Meiji, the first emperor of modern Japan. Later, enjoy a panoramic view of Tokyo from the observation deck of Tokyo Tower, including views of Ginza, Tokyo Bay, Yokohama and even Mt. Fuji in clear weather. Next, stroll through the Imperial Palace East Garden which is located next to the Tokyo Imperial Palace, considered to be the largest castle in the area. It is the former site of Edo Castle and the main residence of the Emperor of Japan. Your tour concludes at the famous Ginza shopping district, Tokyo's most celebrated shopping and amusement area. Please note, you are required to make your own way back to the hotel independently. Balance of the day at leisure

    Full Day Mt. Fuji & Hakone with lunch Enjoy a full day tour to Mt. Fuji and Hakone, the most famous National Park and resort area in Japan. The drive to Mr. Fuji affords views of rural Japan and allows for early sighting of Mt. Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan and one of the most beautiful conical volcanoes in the world. Drive halfway up Mt. Fuji to the Fifth Station where, depending upon the weather, you will enjoy panoramic views of the park and Lake Ashi below. After lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to Hakone, famous for its beautiful natural scenery, and take the Hakone Sky Gondola to Owakudani. Stop at Owakudani Boiling Valley for a walk around this famous volcanic valley and see how black-colored eggs, a local specialty of hard-boiled egg, are cooked in the valley. Finally, enjoy a relaxing cruise on Lake Ashi before returning to Tokyo via deluxe motorcoach.

    Full Day Nikko Tour with lunch Enjoy a full day tour to Nikko, a small historical city at the entrance of the Nikko National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage Site served as a center for Shinto and Buddhist mountain worship for centuries. Nikko is home to several temples and shrines, including the Futarasan shrine and the Rinnoji Temple. Visit the Toshogu Shrine, the mausoleum of the first Tokugawa Shogun, a gorgeous complex of colorful structures featuring the superb craftsmanship of Japan's 17th-century artisans. Stop for an authentic Japanese-style lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, enjoy a visit to the Tamozawa Imperial Villa, one of the largest remaining wooden buildings in Japan. This fascinating villa, which is also a designated National Cultural Treasure, features architecture that spans three different periods: Edo, Meiji, and Taisho. Search through its 106 rooms and beautifully manicured Japanese gardens to explore the remnants of its illustrious past. Next, travel to the Kirifuri Waterfall, considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Nikko. Your tour concludes at Shinjuku, one of Tokyo’s most popular shopping and entertainments districts.

    Yakatabune Dinner Cruise on Tokyo Bay & Sumida River Enjoy one of the best ways to appreciate Tokyo at night by taking a cruise around Tokyo Bay and the Sumida River on a traditional style Yakatabune boat. Enjoy breathtaking views of Tokyo Bay including the beautifully illuminated Rainbow Bridge, Odaiba, Hamarikyu Gardens and other landmarks of Tokyo while enjoying a traditional Japanese style dinner. The Yakatabune cruise features traditional tatami mat seating and a delicious full course tempura and sashimi dinner serviced with Japanese sake. Tour departs from Shinagawa Station at 5:30 pm. Hotel transfers are not provided.
