    DAY 1, Thursday - Depart the USA
    Depart the USA for Germany. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for the journey

    DAY 2, Friday - Arrive in Munich
    Arrive in Munich, the capital and largest city in the German state of Bavaria. Transfer to your hotel and enjoy the balance of the day at leisure. This evening, enjoy a welcome drink and orientation with your tour director at the hotel

    DAY 3, Saturday - Munich City Tour
    This morning's sightseeing tour features the Olympic Stadium and a photo stop at Nymphenburg Palace, built in the Baroque style, it was the main summer residence of the rulers of Bavaria. Continue with a drive amidst the countless museums, palaces and historic monuments to Konigsplatz Square and Marienplatz Square with its mechanical clock and the Neo-Gothic City Hall

    DAY 4, Sunday - Rothenburg ob der Tauber En route to Wurzburg
    This morning head for the fairytale town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. On your way, enjoy a brief stop in Nuremberg's Old Town for free time* and continue to Rothenburg on Germany’s famed Romantic Road. The town, left unscarred by centuries of war, still remains largely as it was in the 15th Century, with its walls and ramparts, quaint cobbled streets and charming shops. A short drive brings you to Wurzburg on the River Main. Spend time exploring this Baroque town and view the Wurzburg Residence, a palace that served as home for Wurzburg's prince-bishops during the enlightenment, as well as, the impressive Fortress Marienberg, a castle that overlooks the town below. Wurzburg is also home to Dom St. Kilian, the fourth largest Romanesque Cathedral in Germany

    DAY 5, Monday - Heidelberg - Rhine River Cruise*
    Today visit Heidelberg, Germany’s oldest University town, and visit the dramatic castle ruins, among the most important Renaissance structures north of the Alps, with sweeping views across the Neckar River Valley. See the student’s jail, cathedral and wander the old town in search of gifts as well as view the town's famous red sandstone castle. Continue to the mighty Rhine river where you will enjoy a scenic river cruise passing the imposing Pfalz Castle and the fabled Lorelei Rock. Travel passed the picturesque villages scattered along the banks of the river until you arrive in Koblenz

    DAY 6, Tuesday - Mosel River Valley
    Today we take a leisurely excursion along the Mosel River Valley into the towns of Cochem and Bernkastel. This afternoon continue through the vineyards near Piesport and stop for a tasting of the region's delightful wines. Return to Koblenz and make a stop at the Deutsches Eck, where the Mosel joins the Rhine

    DAY 7, Wednesday - Cologne En route to Amsterdam
    Heading north after breakfast, you will pass the town of Bonn, the birthplace of Beethoven, to reach the city of Cologne with its twin spired cathedral that is visible for miles. The construction of the church began in the 13th century and took 600 years to complete. You will have time for lunch under the lofty Gothic spires that dominate the city that was founded by the Romans nearly two centuries ago. Continue the day passing into the Netherlands toward lively Amsterdam

    DAY 8, Thursday - Amsterdam City Tour
    Our sightseeing this morning includes an hour long cruise in a glass topped boat along the canals to view the curious humped bridges and tall gabled houses reflecting the 17th golden age of this trading city. View the Dam Square, Royal Palace, the Tower of Tears and also see a diamond cutters studio, as Amsterdam is a major center the production of jewelry stones. This afternoon, You may chose to visit one of the countless museums such as the Rijksmuseum, with Rembrandt’s Nightwatch painting, or the Van Gogh Museum. There is also an optional excursion this afternoon to the peaceful villages on the Zuider Zee such as Volendam with its wooden houses, windmills and a cheese farm

    Linderhof & Oberammergau Tour Two of the highlights of southern Bavaria are visited during this excursion to the high Alps. First, admire the artistically decorated castle Linderhof built by "Mad" King Ludwig II and have a guided tour of the palace. Then proceed via the Ettal Monastery to Oberammergau, world-famous for its Passion Play, the woodcarvers and the richly painted houses (Lüftl-paintings). Time for sightseeing and shopping before returning to Munich.
